the harvest truly is great but the laborers are few sounds like everyone is a potential Christian.

That the world might be saved sounds like Jesus came that the world might be Christian, apart from the saved might be saved. Also, whosoever believeth sounds like it refers to those who might be saved, not just those who will be saved, because it says should not perish, not will not perish.
