Hmm...yes. Been there...done that. :o At least you were able to turn it into something useful. Will you try that pattern again with the proper yarn?

I may. The yarn I have is almost a thread and it's close to what the pattern calls for, I think. I will be sure to research it better before attempting it though. There's just no way I could afford the yarn the pattern calls for.

I'm looking around to see if that pattern book is availablie on ebay or half.com.

Likewise. There are some absolutely beautiful yarns out there these days. But most of them are way too expensive. I've not actually made any wearables with crochet. Well, except a shawl one time. But I suppose you can make a swatch in the pattern to check your gauge with the other yarn?

DEATH’S DIVIDE
When sin lay bear the devil’s plan
When shame gave birth to lies
Death’s dawn came first to mortal man
At Adam’s sad demise


From death, no flesh and bone can hide
This fact we all must learn
Before the great and last divide
The point of no return


Walking the earth with all our flaws
We curse, or bless in prayer
Then leave this life for different shores
The Lord alone knows where


Division leads to separate ways
A parting of the whole
The point from where eternal days
Will reach and take the soul


To run or hide, there’s no way out
There’s no escape from God
No good to cry nor rage and shout
When then we feel the rod


Man’s death is but a one-way door
That leads to somewhere new
To where in Christ we’re heading for
Or where in sin we’re due


Yet scoffers say, “It’s all to scare;
There’s no one judging me!
The grave has nothing more to share
In death at last we’re free”


Be wise, poor soul in darkness caught
Blind lost in deep despair
Believe in God, In Christ’s report
Cast off the devil’s snare…

Share not with sin its endless lot
Join not the ranks of fools
A child in Christ will see no rot
But shine as precious jewels



There’s more to death than meets the eyes
Far more to life than fate
Yet truth, when found in paradise
For some will come too late



Its now; the time to see The Light
Its now; our knee must bend
This death is not an endless night
Nor man’s eternal end



God’s flock would have then no reward!
As dust beneath the ground
Sin would escape the coming sword
God’s Truth! is more profound



Let eyes now see that still are blind
The body dies for sure
Yet spirits leave the flesh behind
To enter judgement’s door



Who now refuse to serve The Lord
Refuse to change their ways
Their lot’s to meet God’s vengeful sword
And feel it endless days



But those who die to self, on earth
Who live to Christ The King
Receive by grace a second birth
Eternal songs to sing



Important now; is what we do
Not foolish things we’ve done
Its time we turn to start anew
With Jesus, God’s true Son…

Good Morning, Barb..

I got some nice crochet afghan pattern books from ebay last week.. I found a hardcover afghan book that I had in the early eighties.. It has a pattern for an afghan stitched afghan with zoo animals cross stiched over it.. and a rainbow ripple that I made before .. the afghan is done in white sc.. with the rainbow colors chained & attached in a zig zag pattern over the white rows.. awesome..
And some church group type cookbooks..

And Wilton Decorating tips.. and a Wilton Heart cake pan & an Rabbit cake pan..

And some low carb cookbooks..

Last month was the first time I tried ebay.. and now I've got these packages coming in my mail every day.. lol..

Can you say addict??

I was looking to see if I could find the sweater pattern I'm making online, but wouldn't you know the only website that carries those patterns only goes up to #19 and I have pattern #21. Anyway...I scanned it. Just pretend it doesn't have a copyright.

I've used ebay for years and love it. I've slowed down a LOT though.

You mentioned that pattern book in my crochet thread. I replied there - you should actually check it out. I think I have that book.
