• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hi.

I would just like to ask if you have experience something like these:

1. You can't stop saying/blurting out the thoughts.

2. Sometimes you can stop but it feels like you must relly, really speak something out or else you will (sort of) involuntarily say your thoughts.

3. Whenever you say something you just feel that you said something else. like when I mumble the word "don't", it feels like I'm saying "Lord", and stuff like that.

4. You have a renouncing thought/blasphemous thought that just pops out of your head or something that you voluntarily think of (to cancel it) then you accidentally say the last word (for example, God).

5. ...or that an entire renunciation sentence from the thought is blurted out...

Is this OCD? Have you had experiences with this? I'm so guilty... No, I'm not looking for reassurance, I'm just asking if this is OCD.

Uh Parc Your entire post SCREAMS OCD!!
People with sever OCD like us pretty much have all that where you have been trying to say out of your mouth opposite of what the thought is and suddenly you feel like you accidently said the thought or that you were trying to ignore a thought that was screaming in your head by talking above it and you might feel you said something bad because you were not completetly listening to everything that you were saying because you were to busy trying to block the thought out.

Accidently saying thoughts or being scared you accidently said a thought is all OCD, it is just the very severe OCD and you will have to get Professional help.

You are examining youre illness one by one to see if its really you or OCD, youve got to stop doing that

In the end it will just make it worse. my thoughts and words get mumbles at times, and ive had it blaspheme God too..you need to try to stop reassuring yourself because thats exactly what the OCD Monster wants. Just accept that you are sick and in need of treatment

luv ya brother, please seek help.

Let me ask you a question, and everyone can ask themselves to but this is really directed towards you.

Which would you have,

a. To be healed right now and not have these thoughts in the first place. But you do not gain faith, and perseverance.

b. To accept that this is an illness, and carry out the trials youre having and thank God later.

Seems to be an odd question, who wants to be sick??

These trials in the end will make you stronger in faith. Right now you need to have faith and trust in God who Knows you are sick.

If I never got sick I wouldnt have the faith I have now, I wouldnt know the true love that God has for me, and you! These spikes are happening for a reason, and I spoke to you why, because I was right there with you, But through faith and trust Im 90% healed from it, I may have a tiny bit in me but I was full blown till I trusted God. You need to do the same.

You cant keep asking people if youre forgiven when God never had to forgive you for this. Its totally out of youre hands. But you can seek treatment (depending on money I guess)

So acknowledge that you are sick, and pray with faith for strength. You can do this brother, I have faith in you!

We can encourage you every day of the week, but in the end you need to keep the faith and trust in the Lord. We dont say these things to fool and trick you, but we do because we all love you and we want you to know the truth, that Yes you are saved, but you need to keep the faith.

Im praying for you

Just remember that we all love you and above all God does too!

Pm me anytime you want to talk.
