  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

If a million people believe a wrong thing, is it still wrong? No doubt EVERYONE in these forums would say, Of course it is still wrong! And they would all be right.

Conversly, if absolutely no one believes a "right" thing, it is still right.

The Book we call a Bible is filled with right things. Some of those right things are believed by very few people. Many people don't believe them because they never saw them. Some don't believe because they misunderstand. Others don't believe because they "wrongly" interpret the right things. Many people are incorrectly taught.

But, regardless, in the end we will all be held accountable for what we believe and do about those "right" things.

One of the RIGHT things we are taught is to pray for one another. That is our brothers/sisters; fellow believers and followers of Jesus. We are to pray without ceasing. We are to FAST and PRAY.

Some say we are not to believe the Bible LITERALLY. Some say there is only one Interpretation of the Bible and all others are wrong. Some say we are to speak in tongues, while others say that was for another day.

Some say this-some say that! Do I need to go on? No. It is clear, that what we need to be praying about is Unity in the Body of Christ. ONLY when we come together in the simplist of basic principles will we as THE BODY OF CHRIST be able to do what we were REALLY called to do. Oh, and YES, we were ALL called to do it. Every believer who is a Disciple of Christ has been called by Jesus, Himself, to go out and reproduce himself.

No matter how you interpret or apply it Jesus is very clear in what He says and to whom He is speaking.

John 15:16: "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."

This is what Jesus is saying to ALL His disciples today. He chose US, and ordained us, or set us aside, specifically for this purpose. If you will read the entire 15th chapter you may be surprised at what you overlooked before.

And it doen't matter what "version" or translation of the Bible you use. Jesus is very clear. So it is vital for The Body to get together and in Unity pread the Gospel to those without Jesus.

It is long past time for airing our difference in public, and casting our Pearls before swine as it were. We are not to offend the unbelievers but to love them and to unify and present the Gospel message to them. They do not need to hear us argue about speaking in tongues and whether we can "name it and claim it" or which is the only "right" denomination to belong to. None of that matters as long as He is lost and without Jesus.

We MUST get them saved FIRST. We must unify in Spirit and resolve and purpose. We must fast and pray and support those who are doing it now.
We MUST. We will be held accountable for what we do.
We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

So true, it is very important to present the Gospel message to unbelievers, and to follow Gods calling to us. I know that the Bible is right, and just becus many people dont believe that, doesnt make it any less right, or nonsense. It is very true that denomination doesnt matter, and we are held very accountable for what we do, which is a good reason to obey God. It is very important for us to unify in The Body of Christ, for he IS our Loving savior, the one who purchased us with his life, and rose again.

Gerry, i shall pray for those out there spreading the Gospel, and shall support them as well.

    God Bless.

Yes Gerry so true. Prayer should be more important than breathing to us.
And the great comission Jesus has given us to do.

that is so ture Gerry. It saddens me when i see christians tearing each other apart over side issues, when there is a whole world dieing of spirtual hunger out there. They don't need our theology, they need Christ.

I often have huge of problems with figuring whats actually right in all these different interpretations and points but I believe God will lead me thru this and show me they way... thats my only chance.

    GodOwns... that's everyone's only chance!

And now.....Scripture to back up Gerry's original post! :D

Pray for each other... James 5:16 (can't get any plainer than that!)
Only one way to interpret Scripture... 2 Timothy 2:15-17
Speaking in toungues... 1 Corinthians 14:5
Unity in the Body... John 17:23

And my personal thought... if the teachings were for the Apostles (fishermen, tax-collector, etc.), why would we think that we are either too good for the gifts (like we don't need them anymore cause we can support ourselves) or think that we aren't good enough (Those teachings were only to get things started in the church, but aren't for today... we can't do that)? Just my thoughts.

I hope you all read the scriptures to back up what Gerry said. and I hope you all Have a great day! :D

It's tough. When I believe something wholeheartedly, I want to share it with others. I want you to know what I know. And, I have been taught to speak truth boldly.

But, I must remember that no one of us can possibly fully comprehend God. No one of us is right in everything. So, I have to temper my attitude. I have to be willing to share what I believe, while keeping an open heart that I might actually be wrong. It does not mean I do not share. But, it does mean I do not beat anyone into submission. It means I do not purposely start flame wars. It means if I recognized I am in a war, I humbly step back, even if I believe I am right.

You are all so right. Only God has all the answers. How do we know this? We read the bible like you all said.
    God bless all of you

Just not real sure what you are saying here. What I am saying plainly is that God is ALWAYS right whether we believe it or not.

In these forums are many kinds of "Christians".

Some believe there is more than one way to go to Heaven.
Some believethat "God didn't call me to witness."
Some believe that Jesus did not mean it when He said Light has no fellowship with darkness. They insist that you must fellowship with darkness and welcome them into their fellowship.
Some believe there is a Heaven but NO hell.
Some believe everyone is going to Heaven eventually and even in the EVIL doctrine of reincarnation.

My point in this post is it doesn't matter what anyone "believes" if it is not what God said.

The Bible is not difficult to understand. God is no idiot, as some suppose. He knew flawed mankind would read it and He made it simple.

I Corinthians 2:14: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

There is the catch. The unsaved man can only understand 4 things about the teachings of the Bible.

    1) He is lost
    2) He cannot save himself
    3) Christ is the Saviour
    4) He must go to Christ and ask to be saved

You say you don't try to beat anyone into submission? Good. You can't anyway. It won't work. As we know the Holy Spirit is the one who convicts and draws and points to Jesus. Either the Holy Spirit is working in a heart or He isn't. If He isn't there is nothing you can do.

No one is right about everything? No, but GOD is, and we have His written Word to use as a manual.

I am glad you do not start flame wars. Neither do I. They are senseless and do not honor God. Yes, you are wise to step back, rather than compromise the Truth.

How do you know when you are right and can operate in Holy Boldness?
When you follow the Holy Spirit!

John 16:13: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."

You are absolutely right here. ;)

    God is 100% absolutely right!

I am not 100% right. I will make mistakes. You are not 100% right. You will make mistakes. Only God is 100% right. That is why we need to be careful of our attitudes when claiming to know the truth.

I'm agreeing with you, brother. :)

SO SO SO TRUE! Christians need to wake up and realize how serious it is when they rip and tear each other apart in front of infidels, pagans, and all non christians. But even MORE so in front of new and tender Christians. Id Christians would spend more time learning the Word of God and less time teaching it, we would all be better able to do what we were called to do my our Saviour Jesus!

This is a sad reply. It shows how all of us here have failed you by our never ending quibbling over petty issues that amount to nothing in the overall scheme of things. But you are right. You are to pray and to depend on The Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth.
