We Shall Meet Again

I'll meet you in Paradise, where the skies are so blue,
Where the One who created us has His throne,
When you get there you'll know how much He loves you
And when I meet you there you'll be waiting.

I'll meet you among heavenly seas and skies starred -
A much more beautiful rendition of Earth
For here sin has not the land's loveliness marred
And all beauty is reflected from Him.

He is there as a Father, a lover, a friend
As a hero Divine and a sacrificed Lamb
And upon God alone shall our weary eyes bend
And be refreshed in his beautiful face.

We shall meet again there at the feet of the Lord
And through Him shall know each other fully,
At last we shall be free from the terror of the sword
And shall be in eternal peace with Him.

Though death has stilled your voice for now,
And you and I have parted,
We meet in spirit when to our Lord we bow,
And will walk together in Paradise!

Very cool!!! I agree with blessedone; and I also like the last two lines of the third stanza:

And upon God alone shall our weary eyes bend
And be refreshed in His beautiful face.

Thank you! That was pretty much the only Christian poem I've ever written that I've not had to throw away. I tend to wander off into pantheism for some reason
