Watching--The Wizard of OZ--100th time since 1954!

Yup; watching the Wizard of Oz (TWoO) for at least the 100th time.

I first seen it in a movie theater in a little town in N. Minnesota called Grand Rapids; when I was 6 yrs old.

I didn't know at the time; and not till much later; that it is the hometown of Judy Garland:

TWoO scared the dickens out of me; especially the "Wicked witch of the West" and her nasty flying monkeys! I had night-mares for weeks afterward; but I have got over that; mostly;I just need someone else to watch it with;

be that be my brothers & sisters; years ago; my kids and Gkids later. I was happily surprised my Gkids liked it as much as the new super hero movies they normally watch.

TWoO is just on now on TCM; anybody else watching it?

I have LIVED it. I played the Tin Man (5th grade, ca. 1972) complete with singing parts!

(I had an offer to try out at our city's theater troupe for other projects, but was unable to attend.)

I have Return to Oz and also an animated series called the Wonderful Wizard of Oz plus Muppets Wizard of Oz, and the tv series Tin Man and also the Disney Oz and the Witches of Oz. I picked up the original Wizard of Oz on Blu=Ray awhile back and was tempted to pick it up in 4K on Black Friday but decided it wasn't a bargain.

I do collect movies, haven't got the blu-ray of Return to Oz yet as it is a Disney Movie Club Edition about $30 for it.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz complete TV series is a great buy at $25 on Amazon.. 52 episodes 1144 minutes on Blu-Ray disc (fullscreen)

I recently saw it on my TV and my PS4 Pro upscaled the 2k Blu-ray to 4K and it looks fantastic. The movie holds up extremely well. It had been a while since I watched it and I'd forgotten how much funny lines we're in it.
