I mean, where did all those fallen angels hang out? And, those Giants. They seemed to have died in the flood, but there they are again in Exodus and in David's time. What's up with all that?

Hi Hobokinite!

I think that this might interest you.

While Judaism certainly does not believe in "fallen angels", there is the belief that God created and destroyed many worlds before He created this one.

The first letter in the Bible (in the original Hebrew), i.e. the first letter in the Book of Genesis, is a "bet" (which is actually the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet). It is shaped like a squared-off C, but opening to the left.
Thus, it is closed on three sides (top, bottom & right) and open on only one, left. (Here is a "bet": á ) Hebrew (like Arabic) reads from right-to-left, which means that left represents forward (while right represents backward). Our Sages say that the Torah begins with a "bet" because it is telling us that we should not concern ourselves with what is above (the "bet" is closed there), what is below (it's closed there too), or what came before (closed again), rather we must look forward (the "bet" is open that way).

Be well!

Thanks for the insight ssv. I know we miss quite a bit if we don't know Hebrew/Greek to study the Bible. They liked plays on words and the fact that numbers are attached to all letters doesn't translate at all.

The World existed 4 days before Adam.

Adam was created on the 5th day and Eve was created on the 6th,I believe.

The 6 day creation(sometimes considered 7 depending how how you take the day of rest) in Genesis is all what have that is recorded in the Bible and I believe that to be ultimate and infallible and what God did.

There are 2 theories,The Gap and Day Age which try to compromise with evolution(the age of the earth part),which I don't believe.

Believer in literal Genesis :)

So, if the flood killed off the giants, where did they come from again later on -- AKA the giants in the land, Goliath, etc,????

Adam was an eighth day creation....God created the world and all that was in them in six days...rested the 7th...Adam was then formed in the eighth day. Man and women was created on the 6th..in the image of God He created them....then rested... It was Lord God that made Adam on the eighth day. Interesting is the fact that it seems to say Adam was created on Sunday....and it lasted 1000 yrs. Because Adam was to die the day he ate of the tree of good and evil. Yet God decribes the days He created as night and day...sounds like 24 hours...not so with sunday, or eighth day.
I found that interesting...as if we don't have enough going through our heads :)

My bible says, KJV Genesis2:2 '... and on the seventh day God ended His work...'

doesn't say anything about Adam being an eighth day creation where did you get that? My bible says he created man, male and female, on the 5th day, it says that above. Obviously Eve did come later but it doesn't say exactly when. But it does say man, male and female He created them, on the fifth day.

It says He created the plants and everything before He put them on the earth... but that man was formed from the earth... then later He creates Eve from adam's rib.

It's an interesting question I have wondered about it myself.

Know one thing though... I am saved, I know Jesus and He is awesome so my faith regardless of anything is solid as a rock... when I run into this type of stuff I am simply left to wonder what mysteries God keeps from us... I am sure there is much more... we do not undertstand.. perhaps cannot comprehend. We do not have all the answers for sure and maybe are not meant to. Though of course if it's in there to makes us wonder... well just looking at all sides.

Less of course if He made Eve from Adam's rib on the fifth day also...

Gen. 127 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.Gen.21 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

(notice this is after the Sabbath...the seventh day)

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

(If you are saying that He created then planted in the earth....Then how can he look and say "it is good" or how can He give intructions to the man and woman...if they were not yet? Notice Adam was not given these instructions...They were given only instruction to till the ground.)

(Adam was also told he was to die the day He took of the fruit yet lived): Gen. 5 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

Either Adam didn't die the day they ate the fruit or this is a 1000 yr. day. Unlike the days of creation where God says,):Gen.1 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Hector, if you see me wrong, then help me see different...I really enjoy learning of Him.

Wonder,

You are mixing the whole creation account up.
It looks like you are not going in the right order, plus its difficult to understand comparing to todays physical standards.

To be honest I really can't explain much right now,but they :

So, we drifted off topic.

Who were these giants?

What happened to the fallen angels after they fell?

Who was Lucifer in charge of before Adam and Eve?

It seems to have existed much before that...

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth; and the Earth was without form and void, and darkness covered the face of the waters..." How long did that take? Doesn't say, does it?

"And it was late afternoon on the 6th day, just about the time the lunch hour was ending; and cameth a knock on God's office door: "Come in!" He spake. 'Twas naught but a small angel. "Forgive me, Sir, but I found these leftover animal parts, some duck feet and a bill, bunch of fur, silly tail, some mammal parts. What wouldst Thou do with them?"

And spake God, "What is thy name, son?"
And didst reply the little angel, "Platypus, Sir; why?"

...and everybody KNOWS, that the PHONE number for the Garden of Eden, was: ADAM-8-1-2.
Wanna see something WEIRD??? Check out Genesis 6:4! Is it POSSIBLE that demons had children with Humans, giving rise to Greek Mythology? (These demons, would now be tennents of Tartara...)

OK,

I'm very loyal and evangelistic to the Holy Bible.
I believe it to be the ultimate and inallible word of God.

The days were 24 hours long like days today.
And theie were 6 of them(7th was rest).

When God was in the middle of the creation why would he suddenly stop, and let the birds starve, fish drown, plants wilt,etc......

Granted in the Psalms is says that time dosen't matter to the lord but thats because he created it and thats our matter not his.
Hes not getting older, nothing created him,and etc......
ALL MIGHTY!

God Bless,

Good Morning Hector: I went to those sites you sent me to a read through them and they come to this conclusion at: http://www.icr.org/pubs/imp/imp-197.htm

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

This article asked: "How long was the seventh day?" There are some who believe that the seventh day of Genesis 2:2 has lasted at least several thousand years. They base this on the quote in Hebrews 4:4, which seems on the surface to show that God's rest has still not ended. It was demonstrated that they have ignored the context of the passage, which issues a solemn warning and promises a future blessing. It was further demonstrated that those who believe in the seventh day as a long time period do not adequately understand the reference to Genesis 2:2 or the (`sabbath rest." The rest referred to in Hebrews 4:1-11 speaks about a time that will be similar to the first "sabbath rest," in that there will be no sin or death in the creation. If one desires to make the days of creation more than a solar day, then one must do so from the context of Genesis 1, not Hebrews 4:1-11. The days of creation were six literal days, with God resting on the seventh. Although the seventh day does not have the concluding formula, it is related to the other days from the context. The seventh day was a solar day, just like the other six days.

If the seventh day ended, then the day after, be it the eighth day or first day after creation Adam entered the picture. Showing that the earth was here at least 7 days before Adam.
If you are one who thinks the Sabbath is still here, then there should be no work for money.

Yep it does :)

Exodus 20
11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

You are good Hector, and I like your style and faith...You were able to show no 8th day creation by having me show myself...that was good. So Adam was formed...meaning if he was created it had to be in the first 7 days...same with the garden. It was only after comparing Christ not being created...but made...that it hit me. Your faith in Him showing me was the key here. No fighting...just light...thanks again :)
As you can probably tell, I haven't been in the NT very long...I have studied the OT for yrs...You also showed me the importantance and light the NT carries.....In His love :)
