Was Handel's "Messiah" A Work Inspired by God?

Consider that He wrote this in 24 days (!!!) and it is one of the greatest works of music ever. I believe it was inspired by God Himself. Almost all the lyrics are directly from Scripture and the music is worshipful and beautiful and brings one into a worshipful place.

Handel wrote "Messiah" when he saw the Enlightenment era begin to spread throughout Europe. Inspired by God, all lyrics are taken from scripture.
