I voted #1
I expect the release date will be the day after the second coming of Christ.
Forgive me...
3, but I would pobably go for the leatherbound either way.
IIRC the CEO of Nelson is Orthodox.
I don't care for the byline, it seems to betray a mission of toning down Orthodoxy for the modern world. Some evidence of this was possibly seen in the NT version. When I see commentary in the OT pointing to the Ever Virginity of the Theotokos (as is read on her Feast days) and her being the Ark of the NC, I'll feel better.
Is that the official announcement???![]()
???I picked #1....
#3!!!!!!!????? kind of muslim looking and much to close to this.

do you really think this? That would be pretty cool. Have heard this?Tough choices.
But ... I'm sure there will be other covers coming soon, e.g.:
The Women's Orthodox Study Bible
The Desert Fathers Orthodox Study Bible
The Convert's Orthodox Study Bible
The Church History Orthodox Study Bible
The Orthodox Study Bible - Patristics Edition
The Daily Orthodox Study Bible
The One-Minute Orthodox Study Bible
The Daily Prayers Orthodox Study Bible
The Old Calendarist Orthodox Study Bible
The SCOBA Orthodox Study Bible
The OCA Orthodox Study Bible (featuring Russian Saints)
The GOC Orthodox Study Bible (featuring Greek Saints)
The Ecumenical Orthodox Study Bible (with the Apocryphal/Deuterocanonical Books according to the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, and Coptic Churches)
The Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom Orthodox Study Bible
etc.
My thoughts exactly.#1
Most traditional-looking, to my eye. Most reminiscent of the Gospels we use in liturgy. The others are a bit too up-tempo, snazzy, and modern for my liking. The Bible isn't "cool" or dated. It is dateless, and as such, I would prefer a cover that is dateless, or as undated as possible.
Vasyan opinions.
- Vasya.
It is outrage that it is not in new testament Greek as well! lol Anything modern has to be sinful and worthless.
KjellWas it modern in nineteenth century Russia?!![]()

I just want it released!!! But I'm happy to wait for them to make it as accurate as possible.

Um...isn't it against the canons to bind the Gospels in the skins of dead animals? Correct me if I'm wrong...this was mentioned...somewhere in the past...by...someone...as a criticism of the leatherbound versions of the NT/Psalms (I know, I know, lots of help...)
