This amendment might come in handy where divorces show favoritism toward women when children and large assets are involved. Hope this results in more joint custodies, and possibly even less divorce. Good amendment!

There was clearly no expiration date and since 1792 is BEFORE 1980 then it sets precedent. That’s how precedent works... hence the “ pre” in precedent

Article 5 of the Constitution makes NO mention of time limits and in fact NO AMENDMENT had a time limit attached until the 20th century.

Exactly....so it is up to congress to decide by legislation. The ERA had a time limit; it has since expired.

Then it won't be a problem when congress overturns the time limit (since time limits are not part of the Constitutionally mandated process) and we go ahead and pass ERA.
