RT is actually a government controlled media, meaning it's under the control of Putin.

So...you can trust it about as much as any political ad you see on TV, to tell the full real truth about anything.

This is a representative summary: "RT has been frequently described as a propaganda outlet for the Russian government[13][14][15] and its foreign policy.[13][15][16][17][18][19] RT has also been accused of spreading disinformation[19][20][21] by news reporters,[22][23]including some former RT reporters."

We know many reporters/journalists have died in all sorts of ways in Russia when they are reporting on the corruption there.

A variety of Russians that have tried to tell people anything bad about Putin have died in a variety of ways.

I AGREE, my friend.

But that's not what i was referring to.

Ok. Here's something I can offer you as a brother -- don't be fooled by any words from Putin, nor from the Russia state controlled TV station RT. Don't be happy about what is happening in Russia, but if you care about Russia in particular then pray for the Russian people, and for revival there.

I'm shocked.

Where did that come from?

Would you care to share?
No. I'd like to know where you were going with the leading question.

Thank you, but i was referring to what this brings to mind.

Do you know where i'm going with this, my friend?

Are you just learning about Russia for the first time now? Putin's been a superstar there for like the past 20 years.

I don't have that good a memory I guess, but one reason was Obama and the media kept him on the back burner for eight years.

Yep, but they're never-Trumpers too.
I'm not sure about that. He has many fans on the right due to his stances on things like gay marriage and getting Russia going in a more socially conservative direction and his defense of the Russian Orthodox Church. Many of them see Putin as the strong right-wing Christian they wish they could have elected here in America.

No surprise. Russian politics don't really make the news here as much as our politics do everywhere else.

The point was that the corruption within the Russian government is to such an extent that I don't really believe they have legitimate elections at all.

Oh, I don't know about that. President Trump is pretty stong... he woke Putin up from that 8 year deep sleep he was in.

I can find whole threads with right-wing members praising Putin and Russia specifically for the points I mentioned. Here's one in the International Politics section that I found within a few seconds of searching on here.

Russia may ban Public Displays of Gay Couples

He apparently had no worries with the previous administration; they didn't even think he was a threat. Remember the beating Romney took for even suggesting it.
