Very Thankful

It struck me today that I've been kept by His grace and mercy for over 15 years. Astounding. Many times over the years I've slowed on my scripture reading, church attendance, attending the Lord's Supper, but God! has kept me from finally falling away and I am so thankful. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ more today than ever before and I'm thankful.

Just blown away by God's grace...

As am I! He is SO Awesome! He has kept by me ever since I was 6 years old. The influence of the world can be overwhelming and I was starting to fall away until I asked Him what the ultimate truth was. I was expecting to wait a while for Him to answer me, but wow! I was answered the next day! He NEVER left me.

Good question Jim. I believe a blood bought sinner will never fail away but preserve in the faith by the grace of God alone. It's not exactly once saved always saved but once saved will always remain faithful.

Preserving grace is one of the several graces that we receive from our great God and Savior Jesus Christ the Lord.
There is saving grace
sanctifying grace
comforting grace
strengthening grace
humbling grace
joy giving grace
peace giving grace
grace that makes us partakers of the divine nature
grace that make us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus
grace that feeds us
grace that protects us
grace that makes us free
grace that removes all fear of His wrath

You get the gist and can finish the list as you consider what the Lord has done for us and in us.

One who has been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ may falter and fall but he can never fall away. Christ Jesus the Lord will have all His remnant which is His body, Bride and people. He must bear the shame if any that He has bought and became Surety for is not forever glorified with Him eternally. All that the Father has given Him He will lose nothing but shall raise him up at the last day.
