Verse of the Day Bible Study

I tried to get people involved in a Verse of the Day thread to use for Bible study instead of just "read this verse today and ponder it." Unfortunately, nobody replied except myself. Why is this idea ignored? I would like to see a VOTD section or sticky that truly gets people engaged in the Bible study aspect of reading a different verse every day.

One reason might be that some people like sound bytes but not like or understand the context around it which is more important than the verse. Another may be that with 10,000 denomination in the US alone, it might become a little 'busy'.

So what about having a sticky thread for it in each deonomination section if that is going to be a problem for other members?
