Like prophesy. It is sweet to the saved, but bitter to the unsaved. Even for the saved, once they digest the impact of what will really happen to the world, it is bitter.

Or, you can look at it this way: if humans can mess up the world, there is a chance we could also fix it.

No more than if a plane crashes, it can reassemble itself, raise it's dead passengers, and fly more economically! The results of sin have been apparent all through time. The problem is sin, and sinful man could never also be the solution.

Hah, a plane has no sentience. It is hardly comparable to a person.

Anything with a demonstrated predictable path that cannot change general directions can be compared to some extent. History confirms that man cannot save himself, and that it is only a matter of time before he kills life on earth..if God allowed him to!!!

Being "saved" is a human concept, not a godly one. And people defy their nature all the time, monks burning themselves alive in an effort to promote world peace and in protest of war, a teenager pushing a stranger out of the way of a car only to get hit and killed themselves, etc.

These acts of kindness and sacrifice know no religious boundaries (although in some religion does inspire what specific action is taken). Perhaps if we stopped waiting for some deity to save us, more people would make an effort and help humanity save itself.

Not at all. It is all God all the way.

Joh 10:9 -I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
And people defy their nature all the time, monks burning themselves alive in an effort to promote world peace and in protest of war, a teenager pushing a stranger out of the way of a car only to get hit and killed themselves, etc.

They do not do it long! Splat...or frizzle...
These acts of kindness and sacrifice know no religious boundaries (although in some religion does inspire what specific action is taken).

The acts of kindness like nuking Hiroshima? Some think that was kind. The acts of kindness like killing babies and paying for it and forcing it on many? That is considered kind by many. The acts of kindness like paying a poor country to stop having kids? The question of what is good and evil has to be included in any so called acts of kindness. We also must put these random little acts on a scale, and weigh them together with the rest of the results of the fallen state of man!

Perhaps if we stopped waiting for some deity to save us, more people would make an effort and help humanity save itself.

Was Stalin and Hitler waiting for some deity? Are the people choking in some Chinese cities from pollution waiting for some deity? No...you cannot blame a deity for the condition or mankind.
