Jesus warned of the Antichrist and false prophet, and they will deceive the world. I am not the best when it comes to end times or claiming to be 100% correct, but I believe the (Messiah that the Jews await at Isreal) Will be the antichrist.

So since the third temple isn't built, we still have a lot of time ahead of us? We don't know the exact time of Jesus return but is it most likely going to be this century?

How long will it take for the third temple to be built?

For the Jesus actually returning what I'm getting from scripture is he will return on a literal cloud and the event will be known to mankind. There will be no question of "Is that Jesus in the air?". Jesus will reveal the Antichrist and the false prophet who deceived the world into worshipping the antichrist.

My pastor has helped me to make sense on the term of the cloud. That when the church is raptured up that there will be so many numbers in the heavens and the angels, that it will literally look like a cloud picture it. A entire sky filled with the saints!

For the temple they have the red heifer, I honestly believe they have the ark of the covenant. Just the only thing they are missing is the dome of the rock is in the way. For me I do not worry to much about how or when because our bodies are the temple of Christ. Just that third temple will be destroyed by the false messiah when we comes for we all know Satan loves to mock God but he knows and we know Jesus has already defeated him.

If you ask how long it takes we can ask either in the Geo politics time, we may say at less another decade if we are awaiting on the politics of things to even out. Which lets be real there will have to be actual agreement between Jews and Muslims upon the site to allow such a build, which in reality could be done by a fake peace where both Muslims and Jews could worship on site.

There is no reason to believe that a third temple will ever be built.

That's what I am saying sometimes that we focus to much on the third temple that maybe just maybe we will never see it rebuild for when we are called back to heaven.

    "Ecclesiastical History"
    Book V, Chapter XXII

Though the emperor [Julian the Apostate] hated and opressed the Christians, he manifested benevolence and humanity towards the Jews. He wrote to the Jewish patriarchs and leaders, as well as to the people, requesting them to pray for him, and for the prosperity of the empire. In taking this step he was not actuated, I am convinced, by any respect for their religion; for he was aware that it is, so to speak, the mother of the Christian religion, and he knew that both religions rest upon the authority of the patriarchs and the prophets; but he thought to grieve the Christians by favoring the Jews, who are their most inveterate enemies. But perhaps he also calculated upon persuading the Jews to embrace paganism and sacrifices; for they were only acquainted with the mere letter of Scripture, and could not, like the Christians and a few of the wisest among the Hebrews, discern the hidden meaning.

Events proved that this was his real motive; for he sent for some of the chiefs of the race and exhorted them to return to the observance of the laws of Moses and the customs of their fathers. On their replying that because the temple in Jerusalem was overturned, it was neither lawful nor ancestral to do this in another place than the metropolis out of which they had been cast, he gave them public money, commanded them to rebuild the temple, and to practice the cult similar to that of their ancestors, by sacrificing after the ancient way. The Jews entered upon the undertaking, without reflecting that, according to the prediction of the holy prophets, it could not be accomplished. They sought for the most skillful artisans, collected materials, cleared the ground, and entered so earnestly upon the task, that even the women carried heaps of earth, and brought their necklaces and other female ornaments towards defraying the expense. The emperor, the other pagans, and all the Jews, regarded every other undertaking as secondary in importance to this. Although the pagans were not well-disposed towards the Jews, yet they assisted them in this enterprise, because they reckoned upon its ultimate success, and hoped by this means to falsify the prophecies of Christ. Besides this motive, the Jews themselves were impelled by the consideration that the time had arrived for rebuilding their temple. When they had removed the ruins of the former building, they dug up the ground and cleared away its foundation; it is said that on the following day when they were about to lay the first foundation, a great earthquake occurred, and by the violent agitation of the earth, stones were thrown up from the depths, by which those of the Jews who were engaged in the work were wounded, as likewise those who were merely looking on. The houses and public porticos, near the site of the temple, in which they had diverted themselves, were suddenly thrown down; many were caught thereby, some perished immediately, others were found half dead and mutilated of hands or legs, others were injured in other parts of the body. When God caused the earthquake to cease, the workmen who survived again returned to their task, partly because such was the edict of the emperor, and partly because they were themselves interested in the undertaking. Men often, in endeavoring to gratify their own passions, seek what is injurious to them, reject what would be truly advantageous, and are deluded-by the idea that nothing is really useful except what is agreeable to them. When once led astray by this error, they are no longer able to act in a manner conducive to their own interests, or to take warning by the calamities which are visited upon them.

The Jews, I believe, were just in this state; for, instead of regarding this unexpected earthquake as a manifest indication that God was opposed to the re-erection of their temple, they proceeded to recommence the work. But all parties relate, that they had scarcely returned to the undertaking, when fire burst suddenly from the foundations of the temple, and consumed several of the workmen.

This fact is fearlessly stated, and believed by all; the only discrepancy in the narrative is that some maintain that flame burst from the interior of the temple, as the workmen were striving to force an entrance, while others say that the fire proceeded directly from the earth. In whichever way the phenomenon might have occurred, it is equally wonderful. A more tangible and still more extraordinary prodigy ensued; suddenly the sign of the cross appeared spontaneously on the garments of the persons engaged in the undertaking. These crosses were disposed like stars, and appeared the work of art. Many were hence led to confess that Christ is God, and that the rebuilding of the temple was not pleasing to Him; others presented themselves in the church, were initiated, and besought Christ, with hymns and supplications, to pardon their transgression. If any one does not feel disposed to believe my narrative, let him go and be convinced by those who heard the facts I have related from the eyewitnesses of them, for they are still alive. Let him inquire, also, of the Jews and pagans who left the work in an incomplete state, or who, to speak more accurately, were able to commence it.

'clouds' means 'great multitudes' a la Revelation 7:9-14 Strong's Greek: 3509. νέφος (nephos) -- a mass of clouds, a cloud

'in the air' (clouds & air presumably referring to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) means 'in the mind/ spirit': it definitely doesn't refer to 'heaven' - is Satan the ruler of 'heaven'/ the 'air'? No, compare 'air' in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 with 'air' here: Ephesians 2:2

1And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Ephesians 2:2 Interlinear: in which once ye did walk according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience,

I am not sure what form the new 'qodesh qodeshim'/ (most holy) will take, maybe a '3rd Temple' maybe something else that is 'anointed'. But this sequence seems to indicate we are somewhat close to this occurring.

The following is a hypothetical framework which I think is pretty reasonable.

Go to 1 Chronicles 17:11, 12: “It shall come to pass ... that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne for ever.” This prophecy given to King David says his offspring will build the temple. Later, in 1 Chronicles 28:6, God reaffirms, “Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts.”

This text is a dual prophecy found in Scripture. Dual prophecies have both a physical and spiritual fulfillment. Solomon, the son of David, built the physical temple. But this prophecy also applies spiritually to Jesus, the true “Son of David,” who is to build a temple and kingdom that will last forever.

Jesus’ prophecy that the pride of the Jewish nation, the temple, would be destroyed inspired the most intense rejection of His teachings. (See Matthew 24:1, 2.) In John 2:19, Jesus says, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Of course, Jesus is speaking of rebuilding a temple—not of stone and nails, but of living stones (1 Peter 2:5). Yet many refused to grasp this teaching (John 2:20, 21). They even mocked Jesus on the cross regarding His prophecy (Matthew 27:40).

When Jesus died, the veil in the earthly temple ripped in two from the top to bottom, signifying that the temple no longer held meaning. A temple for sacrifice today would be as useless as it was then, and it would not be the house of God.

Jesus was the final sacrifice for all and He is our high priest.

The temple is the body of Jesus. Ephesians 2:19–22 says, “Ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God: And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” (See also 1 Peter 2:5.)

Clear evidence that His temple is a spiritual one, many Christians are waiting for the Jews to receive a construction permit to rebuild a physical temple on the site where a Muslim mosque now sits. However, there is no prophecy, promise, or commandment in the Bible that says the physical temple would ever be rebuilt after the Romans destroyed it nearly 2,000 years ago.

Do the modern day Jews aspire to build another temple? Yes, because Orthodox Jews (Judaism) do not believe Jesus was Messiah.

Jesus said it (His coming) will be like in the days of Noah ... so you might want to revisit that account. Matthew 24 36-37 ...

Building of a 3rd temple ... it will not happen. Jesus can come any day, any time. Amen.

    God Bless.

If you think a secular, democratic, western nation is going to build a temple. A temple to sacrifice animals, shedding blood for an atonement. Then you may be waiting for eternity, that will not happen now.

The pace of life is increasing, technology is advancing at a rapid rate. The past, history, is fading fast; the Bible is virtually a redundant text.

There will never be another temple to execute animals, that is an erroneous interpretation.

Based on the passage below the construction of the third temple began during the first century.

I have seen and touched some of the stones in that temple.

I also know the location of the "chief cornerstone" of that temple.

1Pe 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

I'm sorry John, but i don't think this is talking about a rebuilt temple.

Paul was drawing from Matthew 23, and Daniel 8, and Isaiah 14.

    I think it's close.

I don't think we have a lot of time ahead of us.

The Third Temple – Beit HaMikdesh

Ezekiel 40,41 & 42 Ezekiel measures the future Temple and its precincts.
Ezekiel 43 to 48 Details of the Temple furnishings and the Land divisions, etc.

Haggai 2:6-9 In a little while, I shall shake the heavens, the earth, the sea and all the nations. I will fill this House with their treasures. This latter House will be greater than former. In this place, I shall grant prosperity and peace.
[The Second Temple was not greater than Solomon’s Temple]

Zechariah 1:16-17 These are the words of the Lord; I have returned to Jerusalem with compassion, My House is to be rebuilt there. My cities will again brim with prosperity, once again the Lord will comfort Zion and make Jerusalem the city of His choice.

2 Thess 2:3-4 The Return of Jesus cannot come until the man doomed to destruction is revealed and enthrones himself in God’s Temple, claiming to be God.
[What could be clearer than that? The Temple must be rebuilt before the Tribulation.]

Daniel 9:27....He will put a stop to the sacrifices and offerings, then will set up an abomination in the Holy place.

Malachi 3:1 I am about to send My messenger to clear a path before Me. Suddenly, the Lord, whom you seek, will come into His Temple. The messenger of the Covenant, whom you desire, will come to you.
Reference REB, NIV some verses abridged

Jewish Midrash sources say that the messenger is the Messiah ben Joseph, who will be the leader of the 10 tribes of Israel when they return to the Land and he will instigate the rebuilding of the Temple. Jeremiah 30:21

Further on, it is mentioned again in Haggai 2:21, the shaking and overthrowing of kings and how the Lord will break the power of the heathen realms. As we see in verses 6-9 this happens before the rebuilding and therefore, the regathering of His people.
It is likely that the Lord will use the next prophesied event, the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, centered on the Middle East, to ‘break the power of the heathen realms’. This will enable His faithful Christian people, the Israelites of God, to settle into all of the holy Land and build the Temple.

It is not possible, at present for the Jewish State of Israel to build anything on the Temple mount.
1/ They have handed control of the area to the Muslims.
2/ Any move to start construction would trigger a war.
3/ Orthodox Jews, especially Ultra Orthodox, are forbidden or dare not go onto the Mount, for fear of stepping onto the place of the Holy of Holies.
4/ Atheist Jews [half the population] are not interested or don’t want a Temple.

    But this will happen:
Zechariah 6:15 Men from far away will come and work on the rebuilding of God’s Temple. This will come about if you listen to and obey your God.

Ezekiel 43:4 The glory of the Lord comes into the temple via the East gate.

The other problem is that the area now known as "The Temple Mount" is actually the location of Fort Antonia.
The Jewish historian Josephus said Fort Antonia was built upon a gigantic rock.
That rock is now under the Dome of the Rock.

The location of the Jewish temple was near Gihon Spring.

Mat 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

Mat 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Luk 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

Luk 19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

Luk 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

Luk 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Mar 15:16 Then the soldiers led Him away into the hall called Praetorium, and they called together the whole garrison.

Act_23:35 he said, "I will hear you when your accusers also have come." And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's Praetorium.

The following comes from Wars of the Jews, by Flavius Josephus, Book 5, Chapter 5, Section 8.

    8. Now as to the tower of Antonia, it was situated at the corner of two cloisters of the court of the temple; of that on the west, and that on the north; it was erected upon a rock of fifty cubits in height, and was on a great precipice; it was the work of king Herod, wherein he demonstrated his natural magnanimity. In the first place, the rock itself was covered over with smooth pieces of stone, from its foundation, both for ornament, and that any one who would either try to get up or to go down it might not be able to hold his feet upon it. Next to this, and before you come to the edifice of the tower itself, there was a wall three cubits high; but within that wall all the space of the tower of Antonia itself was built upon, to the height of forty cubits. The inward parts had the largeness and form of a palace, it being parted into all kinds of rooms and other conveniences, such as courts, and places for bathing, and broad spaces for camps; insomuch that, by having all conveniences that cities wanted, it might seem to be composed of several cities, but by its magnificence it seemed a palace. And as the entire structure resembled that of a tower, it contained also four other distinct towers at its four corners; whereof the others were but fifty cubits high; whereas that which lay upon the southeast corner was seventy cubits high, that from thence the whole temple might be viewed; but on the corner where it joined to the two cloisters of the temple, it had passages down to them both, through which the guard (for there always lay in this tower a Roman legion) went several ways among the cloisters, with their arms, on the Jewish festivals, in order to watch the people, that they might not there attempt to make any innovations; for the temple was a fortress that guarded the city, as was the tower of Antonia a guard to the temple; and in that tower were the guards of those three (14). There was also a peculiar fortress belonging to the upper city, which was Herod’s palace; but for the hill Bezetha, it was divided from the tower Antonia, as we have already told you; and as that hill on which the tower of Antonia stood was the highest of these three, so did it adjoin to the new city, and was the only place that hindered the sight of the temple on the north. And this shall suffice at present to have spoken about the city and the walls about it, because I have proposed to myself to make a more accurate description of it elsewhere.

No, the time is short. 11-12 years away at the most before the 7 years begin.

How long will it take to build the temple depends on the size and the complexity of the design; and whether or not it will be a final form, or an interim design to expedite starting up animal sacrifices and temple ordinances again.

It's going to be interesting what becomes of President Trump's peace plan - if it includes rebuilding the temple.

Yea I have been feeling that through the holy spirit lately that we may very well soon see a Jerusalem for the Jews and the Muslims. And once that is established you can very well just watch and wait for the rebuild. I mean the red heifer is already in Israel they already have it. The high priest which are descendants of Aarons have already been training on temple duties. And Davids harps have been in re construction since last year. Only thing left is just the peace plan. End of times we are living in.

Your narrative above is one of the greatest deceptions in the history of the Church.

    ...........................................................

    Daniel Chapter 9:

The prophet Jeremiah had foretold of a New Covenant with Israel and Judah, before the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Daniel was reading from the Book of Jeremiah when the angel Gabriel appeared to give the timeline of the Messiah who would fulfill the New Covenant.

Daniel 9:24 is a summary of the 70 weeks prophecy.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Do we find any of the summary above fulfilled in the New Testament?

    Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

(The above comes from Jeremiah 31:31-34.)

Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Are we supposed to believe the angel Gabriel failed to even mention the New Covenant in Daniel chapter 9?

Are we to believe that the covenant with many in Daniel 9:27 is in no way related to the covenant with many in Matthew 26:28?

    ...............................................

The following comes from the 1599 Geneva Bible, which is the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America.

Dan 9:27 And he shal confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate.

    Daniel 9:27

And he (a) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to (b) cease, (c) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

    (a) By the preaching of the Gospel he affirmed his promise, first to the Jews, and after to the Gentiles.

    (b) Christ accomplished this by his death and resurrection.

    (c) Meaning that Jerusalem and the sanctuary would be utterly destroyed because of their rebellion against God, and their idolatry: or as some read, that the plague will be so great, that they will all be astonished at them.

    ............................................

A failure to recognize the New Covenant has produced tremendous confusion in the modern Church.

Why do some fail to ever acknowledge the New Covenant and others claim it is not now in effect?
