• Welcome to Christian Forums
  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  4. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  5. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  6. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.

Poor and rent is due in 10 days, we've been eating noodles and spaghetti sauce often, a car just hit me the other day so I gotta get my mom's rental car fixed, my job is odd delivery jobs in 107 degree heat, but now the car may need repairs, feel depressed about my pregnancy, my instructor gave me a 66.3 in the class and I only needed a 70 to pass so now I have to wait a whole 6 months to retake the class and I was only 6 months from graduation nowhere else I can go. Life seriously is terrible.

I feel like whoever is praying for me the prayers are going the opposite way. I'm really just fed up with my dumb life.
We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

I know you have been on this forum a while now. And I don't keep up with all your posts but are you seeing a doctor? A lot of your posts are mostly posts about worry, fear, anxiety...etc. Meds tend to help though the side effects like fatigue are annoying. That said I'll be praying for you.

Prayers are not enough in some situations.

Well-meaning and financially well-off Christians should actually help you financially, not just in prayers.

    1 John 3:16-18
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

NOting these verses doesn't actually say we should pray for those in need. It mentions those with material resources. In context, we should provide tangible help and it's very clearly that it's a lot more important than prayers.

I could mention a few more verses that says the same. NOt every situation we should pray, in some situations, we are called to act.

Is your church community helping you at all? I know how you feel when you say that prayers seem to be going the opposite way. So let's pray that if there is anything hindering prayers, that these obstacles would be removed also.

"Abba Father: Please relieve Angeleyes' burdens so she can focus on her baby. Please send helpers her way. Surround her with a strong support system. Provide for her needs. Give her rest from her burdensome work. Whatever obstacle that is in her way, please remove it and clear her path so that she can deliver her baby in peace, in a stable environment. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Your situation is reasonably stressful for anyone. Please don't hesitate to update us again.

Sounds like you're doing OK. Sounds like situational depression. Which is nothing serious. Keep going and you can make it!

If you are fed up with your bad life try cultivating good life. The bible tells us that we harvest what we sow. So feeling hopeless, despair, dissatisfaction, bitterness, sadness with life and other negative thoughts and feelings will increase your misery not improve it.

Please know that life in the new is full of love, kindness, long suffering, patience, gentleness, forgiveness, endurance, fearlessness, trust, faith, hope and forbearing. Try to rebuild your life on God's promises and with His good life and you will see that your life will improve dramatically.

Know that The Lord is good and let His loving truth rebuild you.

If i search for my Lord
    but cannot find Him.
    Then i know for sure
    i'm overcome by lies.
    And i need to find
    His loving truth back.
    Underneath my misery
    hurting hell out of me.

    Best not run of now
    with despair or hopelessness.
    Getting my eyes of whatever
    it is that captivates me.
    Looking at Christ instead!
    What price did He pay
    me walking around
    with all those lies
    hurting His good life?

    He is the truth
there are no lies in Him.
    Purest Goodness
    is what He looks like.
    Truly faithful love
is what He is all about.
    Unlike anything i've seen
    anywhere else in this world.

Jesus is who i want as King
    not those lies bringing agony.
So giving my misery to Him
letting Him bring my good life back.
Putting my trust in His Word
and letting the lies die out of me.
While His truth grows back in return.
His love setting me free again.

First thing, dear one, is I think you need some rest. I had a landslide of difficulties hit me recently, and it all exhausted me. I had to give myself time to rest and regroup and huddle up with the Lord.

None of those things have resolved yet, and some have, in fact, gotten worse. I'm all I know to do is to get as close to God as I can, get others praying and put one foot in front of the other. Sometimes life is like that. God's got us.

    Prayers for you,
