I can't decide whether to use my Samsung 1366x768 32" TV or my Asus 1600x900 22" monitor on my PC when my new PC arrives, and was looking for opinions. I like the colors on my Samsung TV better, but the Asus monitor has a higher resolution.

The PC has a 1050 Ti 4GB graphics card, 8GB RAM and an i3-7100 CPU.

Which resolution do you think would be more suitable?

What's the response time? And the frequency?

You could possibly hook up both if the GPU supports it, which I would assume, and then compare them.

Both are 60 Hz. The TV has something like a 5ms response time I'm thinking, but the Asus has only 2ms. You can't really tell a difference though. Both are fast at displaying pictures.

The TV does have better viewing angles I think, but that 1366x768 resolution is pretty low.

I couldn't tell the difference either between 2ms and 5ms, and yeah, that's low resolution, but how big are the screens?

The Samsung is 32" and the Asus is 22".

However the weird way screens are measured diagonally instead of vertically or horizonally... this means that a 32" display is about twice the screen space of a 22" display.

I know. :)
You're gonna do graphics on the screen? Then I'd suggest the 22" because the ppi must be a lot higher.

Asus makes a nice piece of hardware, but I'm generally not fond of their firmware. We have one of their large monitors here, and it took a while to find display settings that worked for us. Maybe if you dig around?
