Well yes. If you're with someone who just lost someone dear, how do you bring it up? Maybe they just don't want to talk about it then, maybe they want to be distracted, maybe taliking about it is the last thing they want. Or maybe all they want to do is talk about it. There's just no way to know, and many of us are cowards. If we don't know we say nothing. We desperately want to help but don't know how.

I understand. I wouldn't bring it up. I don't think anyone's a coward and for many it is hard to know how to respond. I just know what I felt and what was said that helped.
