Counting my many blessings and having lived so far into my 82nd year..I have seen so many these past few years go home..So a certain amount of grief for me has become the new normal. My brother and husband passed both in the same year and although I feel assured of their salvation I sure do miss them in my life, especially my dear husband of 56 years. However, now friends too pass on a regular basis. So there are many changes and adjustments needed in my life and it seems never ending. However, God has His purposes in prolonging my life (after heart valve replacement recently) as I go on making new friends on a regular basis. Not easy when you can't get out as much to meet people. God does take care of his widows and as we follow Him life does become more sweet than bitter. With that note of gratitude ...sharing for anyone who is experiencing such losses of spouse, sibling, parent, or friends.
