People think that Trump can actually read when he speaks like an uneducated Middle School kid?

I don't know. He magically turns kinda presidential when he gets to play grown up and read other people's words off a screen. It doesn't last, of course, but I think it shows he can read at a basic level.

The majority of voters here do not think Trump will be successfull.

They don't support their president.

M-Bob
I'm under no obligation to support him, especially when he's wrong.

Trump's "line in the sand" appears to be that if they make threats, he will retaliate. That is scary stuff. We have always said we will retaliate against unprovoked attacks. That is different from saying we will retaliate against threats.

..and Kim stomped all over that line in the sand within hours.

The Op's thread question is mute.

False dilemma. There were several times when I was in uniform that I thought to myself, "That's not going to work" or "that's not smart" and still followed orders without hesitation.

If you think believing unswervingly that everything the president thinks or does will be successful is equal to support of the President, that's called "political irrationality" and is one of the three components of classical fascism.

I don't know, all I know is that her doctor blamed it on Obama????

MB
You don't know if she was on Medicare? As far as I know nothing Obama did effected Medicare. Maybe the doctor didn't want to take Medicare any longer and it was a good excuse to blame the ACA without looking like a cheap skate.

I have visited the DMZ. You can see the line separating North from South Korea half way through the house where the Armistice meeting was held. It's not visible in that house but it's clearly drawn on the ground between that house and another. I could probably post a picture later. Any more questions?

Just curious, did you folks on the mountain think Obama would be successful?

Is it wrong to think your president is making mistakes?

Didn't care for the guy but, we prayed for his success and many prayers sent out for this Country, not only at home but, also in Church.

Did you support his initiatives--did you want his intentions to succeed?

So I have thought about this and listened to him again. But I think I must be hearing him differently than you do, maybe. I hear him saying, 'he has disrespected and said bad things about us', 'he can't threaten us and Guam and get away with it' 'if he does something IN Guam' (which he has not threatened to do). I'm understanding that what he did say he was going to do on the 15th is not an invasion of land or waters.
So I think that Trump is on the wrong track here. It didn't make sense to me to use military force to retaliate because some leader said not nice things about our country or because he is trying to play chicken with us. The Senate put sanctions on them but there hasn't been time to see if they will have the desired effect.

But then I don't have the benefit of experianced foreign policy people. I just hope Trump is listening to the ones who do.

Do you support Trump's?
M-Bob
Do I support Trump's efforts?

No. I do not.

I am opposed to his efforts to destroy public education.
I am opposed to his efforts to force many people off of insurance.
I am opposed to his efforts to allow global warming to proceed unchecked.
I am opposed to his efforts to build a wall on our border.
I am opposed to his efforts to run the government off a budget that will devastate the poor.
I am opposed to his tax plan which will bankrupt our country.
I am opposed to his efforts to deport people that have been part of our economy for years.
I am opposed to evil. I want Trump's evil plans to fail.

But I want Trump to succeed. I want him to change his ways, to adopt plans that are good for America, and succeed in those plans. But as long as his plans remain evil, then I do not support evil.

Period.

Card playing term. Your "strong suit" is the best suit (hearts, diamonds, etc.) in your hand. Metaphorically, it refers to a person's best attribute.

I am still looking for Trump's strong suit. Anybody know what it is?

I was joking. As in "maybe his strong suit is suits?" I apologize for being unclear.
