I Googled the definition of fascist as well. Gen Kelly left parts of the definition out.
I have been careful to describe Trump's political outlook as having fascistic tendencies rather than insist on any precise delineation. This is deliberate. There is no single agreed definition of fascism. Fascist regimes do not all follow exactly the same path or share identical principles or aims. The aspects they all share have been outlined on this thread and Trump exhibits some of them.

Bragg continued the existing investigation began by Cyrus Vance. When he assumed office, the lead prosecutors were ready and more than willing to take it to case, but Bragg quashed it. Only later, did he bring the case to trial.

But the claim is that the jury and judge are "lying liberals" - this is laughable.

This is part of the tendency to undermine the rule of law in favour of a sectional interest. It has been strengthened under the influence of Trump, who has a long history of denying the findings of courts and juries.

It is an aspect of current Republican Party strategy, encouraged by Trump's own fascist tendencies.

I have given evidence of Trump's fascistic leanings.

All I have heard is a few quote which are taken out of context. I see no fascistic leanings.

His support for another candidate is not relevant to his views about Trump.

Of course it is. Why do you suppose Gen Kelly waited 50 days before the election to make this charge? It goes to motive.

Under another Trump presidency the war in Europe would become more likely to spread westwards.

Europe and the world during the last Trump administration did not have these problems. It was only after the Democrats got into power that these conflict started erupting. Does Europe really think that Harris is going to protect them? That's like England celebrating Chamberlain's deal with the Germany.

Just as a side note, from your perspective, who do you think China and Russia would fear most; Harris and the present administration policies which has done little to stop the war or the fascist madman Trump who has one finger on button.

There is no single agreed definition of fascism.

Then Gen Kelly may or may not be right, depending on the definition.

That is not really true, is it? The policy of 'America First' was an important aspect of his 2020 election campaign and all those MAGA caps endorse that policy. 'America first' has a strong nationalistic flavour.
I see no fascistic leanings.
Well, many people do. Some of them have been pointed out here.
Europe and the world during the last Trump administration did not have these problems.
This is a gross simplification.

Does Europe really think that Harris is going to protect them? That's like England celebrating Chamberlain's deal with the Germany.
Western Europe's whole defence strategy has been bound up in NATO with USA as a strong ally. Latterly East European countries have been very keen to join the alliance because they want to be less dependent on Russian 'protection'. They had experience of it for many years.
Just as a side note, from your perspective, who do you think China and Russia would fear most; Harris and the present administration policies which has done little to stop the war or the fascist madman Trump who has one finger on button.
Off-topic.

Gen Kelly first revealed this information in an interview with The Atlantic...in March of 2023. The "losers and suckers" information was published in 2020.

His latest interview with the NYT (referenced in the op) was made based on Trump's recent comments:

When Mr. Kelly left the White House in 2019, he decided he would speak out on the record only if Mr. Trump said something that he found deeply troubling or involved him and was wildly inaccurate.

Mr. Trump’s recent comments about using the military against what he called the “enemy within” were so dangerous, he said, that he felt he had to speak out.

Alan Dersowich said the same and he's from Harvard.
And Dershowitz is famous for his integrity...

OJ Simpson’s attorney Alan Dershowitz said that he would have represented the alleged victims of the 1994 murder “if they had called me first.”

Dershowitz made the statement to Fox’s Sean Hannity on Thursday, following the news that Simpson had died from prostate cancer aged 76.

“I want to send my sincerest condolences to the Goldman family, the Brown family. They’ve done a phenomenal job in standing up for their relatives, and if they had called me first before the OJ team called me, I probably would have represented the Goldman or the Brown family,” Dershowitz said, as earlier reported by Mediaite.

However, Dershowitz was attributed for rounding out Simpson’s “Dream Team” during the murder trial for the NFL superstar’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and Ron Goldman.

Goldman was just 25 years old when he was murdered outside Brown’s Brentwood home on June 12, 1994.

Besides defending OJ, Dershowitz was on Harvey Weinstein's defense team for his sexual assault trial, and defended Donald Trump during his impeachment trial.

He likes those kinds of guys.

Of the nation he wants to be president of? Oh my! What would you prefer he be? A globalist? We've already had enough of those, and we're paying dearly for it.

Ex-Trump aides emerge to back Kelly’s harsh warnings

“The revelations General Kelly brought forward are disturbing and shocking. But because we know Trump and have worked for and alongside him, we were sadly not surprised by what General Kelly had to say,” the letter states.

The letter from former White House officials comes as Harris is leaning into her closing argument that Trump is a threat to democracy.
The letter was signed by Trump administration officials, including Kevin Carroll, former senior counselor to Kelly; former deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews; former assistant secretary of homeland security Elizabeth Neumann; former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci; former chief of staff at the Dept. of Homeland Security Miles Taylor; former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham; former press secretary to the vice president Alyssa Farah Griffin; and former national security adviser to vice president Pence, Olivia Troye.

And that's about all her "closing argument" will be. She has nothing to say for herself. When asked about her policies, she pivots to her hatred of Trump. That's not a winning strategy, and the latest polls are reflecting that. Hate will not win.
Reject hate. Reject Harris.

Of the nation he wants to be president of? Oh my! What would you prefer he be?
An American, who believes in the Constitution.

"America First?" It's a darker history than you might suspect.

The America First Committee (AFC) was an American isolationist pressure group against the United States' entry into World War II.[1][2] Launched in September 1940, it surpassed 800,000 members in 450 chapters at its peak.[3] The AFC principally supported isolationism for its own sake, and its varied coalition included Republicans, Democrats, farmers, industrialists, communists, anti-communists, students, and journalists – however, it was controversial for the anti-Semitic and pro-fascist views of some of its most prominent speakers, leaders, and members.[4][5][6][7] The AFC was dissolved on December 11, 1941, four days after the attack on Pearl Harbor brought the United States into the war.
...
The AFC was founded by Yale University student R. Douglas Stuart Jr. and headed by Robert E. Wood, a retired U.S. Army general who was chairman of Sears, Roebuck and Co. Its highest-profile early member was Henry Ford, the automotive pioneer and notorious anti-Semite, who resigned in controversy.[8][6] Halfway through the committee's 15-month existence, aviator Charles Lindbergh joined it and became the most prominent speaker at its rallies. Lindbergh's presence resulted in increased criticism that America First embraced overt anti-Semitism and fascist sympathies. Historian Susan Dunn has concluded that, "Though most of its members were probably patriotic, well-meaning, and honest in their efforts, the AFC would never be able to purge itself of the taint of anti-Semitism."[6]

The more things change, the more they remain the same. Putin loves it for the same reason Hitler, Stalin, and Tojo loved it.

Hate will not win.
Trump is betting that it will.
"The enemy within" is his target. Democrats, libertarians, and anyone of an ethnic group not meeting his expectations of what Americans should be.

Speaking on Fox News Sunday, former President Donald Trump suggested using themilitary on U.S. soil to tamp down on chaos on Nov. 5.

When asked if he was worried about foreign-agitated violence on Election Day, he said:

"I think the bigger problem is the enemy within," he said, saying the "radical left-lunatics" could pose a potential problem on Election Day.

Former President Trump’s use of the phrase “the enemy within” channels the propaganda that flourished in Germany after World War I.

He's betting that hatred and fear will give him the victory.

One of Harris' best idea is not being discussed much, but it could be critical to the survival of the middle class in the next generation or so.

As Vice President Kamala Harris makes her bid for president, one of her major plans is to try and address housing issues such as low inventory, higher home prices and the lack of affordable housing in the U.S.

Trump's major economic plan?

What tariffs do and why economists don't like them

Trump keeps expanding his tariff plans, but most trade analysts across the political spectrum warn they’d inflate consumer prices.

The 20 to 60 percent tariffs Trump plans to implement would amount to a huge sales tax increase for consumers. The distributors of those items would pass the tax along to consumers in the form of higher prices.

Go around your home and look at the things you have that were imported from other countries. Think about what they cost, and add 20 to 60 percent to the cost.

That's what Trump is promising to do for you. And he has the power to do it without Congress' approval.

And he (Hitler) had the MSM on his side, correct?
By that time, Hitler had finished what Trump is proposing to do.

Jailed reporters, silenced networks: What Trump says he’d do to the media if elected

Former President Donald Trump has threatened to jail reporters who won't give up the sources of leaks and to strip networks of their broadcast licenses for fact-checking him.

I would prefer him to be loyal to the American constitution, and a better friend and truer ally of Europe.

Consider the fact that currently USA is a signatory to bilateral treaties with 188 foreign states and an important member of half a dozen formal treaty organisations, not least NATO. In addition USA is a leading light in numerous international trade and banking organisations.

Without these long-standing arrangements America - and Americans - will be poorer and less safe.

X person is a racist.

X person is a fascist.

I can make that x into any name I desire.

Do you believe what I say?

This whole he said she said is pointless.

Trump ran this country in the manner the American people wanted him to. We understand the war mongering globalists are opposed to the American voter.
That's incorrect. Trump ran the country in the manner He wanted but most Americans didn't want it ran that way. That's why he lost.

I'm guessing none of those former Trump White House officials will be receiving an invite from Fox News....

It's telling when you take a few words he says and weave an entire twisted narrative from it based on your own values.
