Ears to hear but never listening. Eyes to see but never understanding.

I explained it ad-nausium. Anyone attempting to make the inference you suggest above is either a complete idiot, utterly blinded by an almost perverse bias on the subject, or being intentionally obtuse.

I'm guessing the latter in most cases here.

A sitting head of state ‘trolling’ like an adolescent basement dweller?

    That’s classy.

I am glad we have a reality TV superstar as President trolling world leaders to get a rise out of them. It is so funny to see them reply to our president. I think Presidents that act Presidential are stupid. Everyone else in the trailer park agrees with me too.

    Opinions vary.

I think it is a very effective tool to reign the culture in back from the insane course it has been taking for decades. By exposing the immaturity and lunacy of those attempting to shape our culture, he's shining a light on who they really are, effectively destroying their credibility.

I really like the turn our culture (in the US) is taking, and I have to give him credit. And to be frank, this is a real surprise for me. It is something about him that bugged me during the election, but the results speak for themself.

Incogent. So he can troll - disrespectful in itself - but when May responds it’s disrespectful?

What’s the internet dictum about chatting...a certain way, get banged? Trump should take that advice himself before spreading guff from a UK fringe party.

Another person who doesn’t know what an ad hom is but boy they sure do like to throw the term around.

I dismantled your argument, then I commented on certain individuals’ intelligence. The former was an argument. The latter was a supplementary observation.

He’s not shining a light on the problems with your culture.

He IS the problem with your culture. Stop inflicting it on the rest of us, would you kindly?

He was not tweeting to her. She personalized it when she responded to him.

    Clearly, opinions vary.

He was sticking his nose in an aspect of British politics he (blatantly) didn’t understand - what did he expect was going to happen?

    You blunder, you get corrected.

And? They certainly aren’t created equal, and a random knownothing’s opinions don’t trump the opinions of those aware of British politics, when the topic is British politics.

‘Opinions vary’ is a nice little deepity, but ultimately irrelevant.

    That’s exactly what I am doing ^_^

But I don't think it was a blunder. I've seen europe as our canary in the coal mine regarding this stuff for some time. He was just pulling the foundation on which such a belief is based out and placing it on the table in front of God and everybody.

She could have responded to what he tweeted, not started an ad-hominem attack. That is never a good thing.

No, he's a symptom/reaction to the problem. Rather than address the issues that led to him getting elected, however, those who are responsible for the problem are doubling down. This is what you get as a reaction against SJW / Identity Politics running mad for the last decade. I said five years ago that someone like Trump would get in if the progressives didn't cut their crap out, and here we are.

    Totally. I said that too.

That doesn’t mean Trump is some kind of sqrt(-1)D chess player who’s just calling this out ironically, nor does it mean that neither Trump nor his enablers aren’t responsible for what they’re doing. BUT THE LEFT THO only goes so far as an excuse.

And I’d argue in terms of ignorance combined with arrogance and entitlement, he’s definitely playing to stereotype. It’s hardly a problem unique to the US, but even so, Trump’s presence in the White House says a lot of pretty unpleasant things about the US, and not just about the failings of its progressives. Just like our Brexit loons say a lot of unpleasant things about Britain, despite our progressives having a role in suppressing open discussions about immigration.

People can’t really complain about how the patriarchy is a nonexistent conspiracy theory and then constantly blame social dynamics peddled by the left as an excuse for their crappy behaviour, wouldn’t you agree?

No, I agree. I just think that the majority of people think that this is a problem of the guy currently in office, and that the last two guys were great. I'm saying that Trump, while a problem, is just one in a long, long line of them.

Lol, there’s another born every minute - like he cares a jot about your deity.

But when she knows that Britain First are unreliable narrators to begin with (as you suggested, these sources have been evaluated repeatedly and found lacking), Trump should be expected to catch up with the rest of the class. Again, we don’t need to prove everything from first principles just because Dear Leader is a bit slow on the uptake. It’s not like the guy can handle more than bullet points, as has been established.

And I’m sure if another head of state retweeted rivals to Trump or some Islamist in your own country you’d be whining about that as well.

Disagree - Bush and Obama had far more respect for internal (and to a lesser extent, global) stability and process than Trump does, which sets him apart. Not least they were sharper than he was.

That doesn’t mean they didn’t have some black marks on their record on all counts, but compared to Trump....

This entire presidency is the right spitting the dummy because they think the people they love to call ‘snowflakes’ are being too mean to them. I mean....come on.

No, they didn't. They just had the appearance of such. Believe it or not, but Trump has been less destructive to the our Constitution than the last two. He is just loud and obnoxious when he does it. I am out of the office today, but I will find my post tomorrow where I highlight it. Keep in mind, I don't care for Trump, but I hold no delusions about the last two because they could dress up their agendas in polite words. What happened with Trump is that the media and the DNC colluded to split the Republicans and people basically said "Screw it" and went with the bombastic populist because they were afraid of ending up like the UK.

More than one way to harm the US than by getting creative with the Constitution.

You mean what another portion of the media - including some more bombastic populists more concerned with bombastic populism than accuracy - were saying about the UK, right?

See above point about not all opinions being created equal.

When people go on and on about THE MEDIA REEEEEE and then glug down Paul Joseph Watson or Britain First or whoever completely uncritically, they’re not being ironic deconstructors of social norms peddled by the left. They’re being partisan hacks/chumps themselves with delusions of objectivity.

If you don’t like a table, that’s fine. Smashing the table and peeing on the wreckage isn’t a solution to the problem of the dodgy table.

No, I mean Americans reject thought crime as a general rule. The UK doesn't, and so you get people being arrested for saying stupid stuff on twitter, for sexism, for teaching their dogs to Heil Hitler as a moronic joke on YouTube, etc.
