When did a Tweet become a way of conveying official government business?

I think it was about three years and ten months ago.

That's great but he should not have needed it.

Indeed. If he'd just taken the expected 3-6 month sentence expected from his plea bargain, he'd be out by now. Instead he got some quack lawyer to try to "unplea" his case and dragged it out for another year.

Public Service Announcement: Lying to the FBI is a crime. They can lie to us in the course of an investigation, but we can't lie to them. Is this a great country, or what?

They should not have been trying to entrap him because he was working for Trump. This was a total case of political persecution.

Amen RIGHT! Did any one here read what those FBI agents said in their notes?

To lie to the FBI.. ok fine lets go there. Has anyone on the left lied to the FBI? How about lied to Congress? And is that ok? So I can from the top of my head name off a few that lied ..I watched. And the world knows they lied and what happen to them? Nothing what so ever. This is not a rabbit hole one wants to go down. For it leads to someone that.. no one on the left will do anything about.

So praise GOD for what president Trump did! I don't think it will be the last..

So it would have been a ok if he'd been working for someone else? Thanks for your cognitive bias.

No that was the motivation. Buy say since you Democrats and Englishmen are so into the Logan Act shouldn't we Republicans be prosecuting Biden under it right now? (He and his minions is doing the stuff that caused the FBI to originally go talk to Flynn)

Unfortunately, you guys (having politicians that are mostly lawyers) are not as naïve as Flynn was to be trying to answer questions sprung on him by an impromptu seemingly friendly visit by the FBI.

So just to be clear, when he was fired by Trump for lying to Vice President Pence about the exact same thing, was that also political persecution?

So that makes lying okay? (He pled guilty, by the way).

"It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon. Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!" Trump tweeted.

Well, we now know for sure that Flynn is guilty of the crime to which he confessed. Per SCOTUS, the acceptance of a pardon is an admission of guilt.

Your trying to conflate two things.

Flynn was prosecuted for lieing to the FBI, because they were trying to quiz him on stuff in an impromptu meeting that seemed friendly at the time and he did not have access to his notes etc. to help him out. He answered the questions to the best of his ability and even the FBI agents were satisfied at the time. But later they realized his testimony taken from memory deferred on a few details from the official record and the decided to charge him on it as perjury, because he would be a useful person to have when going against Trump.
So that makes lying okay? (He pled guilty, by the way).

Because they were threatening his son....
