Trump to launch new social media platform TRUTH Social

Former President Donald Trump’s troubled social media platform can add one more problem to its list of woes: Fake government accounts. Impersonators on Truth Social grabbed handles used by law enforcement agencies, branches of the military, and federal officials.

The Daily Dot found more than a dozen accounts on Truth Social whose handles match those government entities and representatives use on their verified Twitter accounts. These include the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Justice Department, United States Navy, United States Army, New York City Police Department (NYPD), the White House, the President of the United States, the White House Press Secretary, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Treasury Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the State Department. In Truth Social’s defense, none of these accounts are verified.

Wow, so they are set up to put out any message they want on an FBI, CIA or whatever other handles that are used on other legit platforms even though I'm sure the FBI won't touch this platform. I thought the whole point was to get the truth out there but they are setting it up to put lies out there under what would be legitimate sources if they were real. I'm glad the platform has not caught on.

The oddest part of the TMTG presentation is the “technology team” listed on Slide 21. The company has apparently filled 30 important jobs already, but it only lists these team members with a first name and last initial. The chief technology officer is “Josh A.” “Steve E.” is VP of engineering. One of the senior mobile developers is “BJ.” Are these real people or stand-ins? We may never know: As a footnote explains: “personnel subject to change.”

Looks like "Josh A." was real, but he was indeed subject to change.

Executives At Trump’s Truth Social Reportedly Quit As Company’s SPAC Stock Drops

Josh Adams and Billy Boozer, the company’s heads of technology and product development, quit their posts, although the circumstance of their resignations — and whether they have been reassigned to other roles — is unknown, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources familiar with the company.

The report came as shares of DWAC — which is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission for reportedly holding talks with Trump before it went public last year — have plummetedin recent weeks.

Their resignations come as the platform struggled to meet a self-imposed March 31 deadline to be “fully operational,” with more than a million prospective users stuck on a wait list.

If people you suspect of engaging in criminal activity of some sort are using a certain platform, you create an account to assist in monitoring what they are doing, get clues to what they may be planning, or actually engage with them to gain their trust.

Stock tied to Donald Trump’s social media venture falls 13% as Twitter announces deal with Musk

The stock had fallen 12.9% Monday, bringing its year-to-date losses to over 30%. The special purpose acquisition company is on track to merge with the former president’s Trump Media & Technology Group.

Meanwhile last week, hedge fund Kerrisdale Capital Management revealed it is shorting DWAC, saying in a tweet that it believes the SPAC will never secure regulatory approval to close its proposed merger.

Two financial regulators, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, opened investigations into DWAC in December in regards to the stock trading and communications with Trump’s firm before the merger was announced.

Mr. Trump starts a social media app but doesn't use it ..... Some people have speculated Truth Social might be an innovative way to reduce dirt and grime from currency. In these pandemic times, it is important that people understand money can spread unhealthy organisms.

Now that seems pretty far-fetched to me. But I have the vaccine chip and may be under the control of the Gazpacho Police. More likely, the defeated former President is playing Fifth Dimensional Chess.
