From the "Bury that hatchet", files: Trump sings the praises of Ted Cruz!

Watched the debate last night & Beto O’Rourke, who wants higher taxes and far more regulations, is not in the same league with Ted Cruz & what the great people of Texas stand for & want. Ted is strong on Crime, Border & 2nd A, loves our Military, Vets, Low Taxes.
...
Ted Cruz has done so much for Texas, including massive cuts in taxes and regulations – which has brought Texas to the best jobs numbers in the history of the state. He watches carefully over your 2nd Amendment. O’Rourke would blow it all! Ted has long had my Strong Endorsement!

Maybe reasonable folks ought to in this one circumstance listen to what Trump had to say:

I like a guy who is willing to change his opinion when circumstances warrant it.

I like it when a guy is willing to change his opinion when circumstances warrant it, not merely on account of it being entirely self-serving as it obviously is with Trump's about-face on Cruz.

Trump on Cruz:
"Single biggest liar..."
"This guy will say anything..."
"Nasty guy, now I know why he doesn't have one endorsement from any of his colleagues..."

Clearly the words from Trump's mouth have lasting value.

Trump is simply supporting the best candidate for that office.

It ain't rocket science although Trump is also pretty good at that.

He's pretty good at everything.

The wife and I and the goats are not tired of winning yet.

It's amazing how opinions change when one is campaigning.

Who said Trump wasn't a politician?

Who in this thread is honestly surprised that Trump flip flopped concerning Ted Cruz? He has a habitual habit of flip flopping on issues in whichever direction the political wind is blowing. Given his habit of flip flopping (as demonstrated in the several articles below), I'm not the least bit surprised that he is now singing the praises of Ted Cruz rather than bashing Ted and calling him a liar.

The true strength of Trump supporters is believing everything Trump says, including the stuff which contradicts other stuff Trump says.

What was true in February 2016 is not necessarily true now...

true... so let's address some of Cruz's Donald-approved accomplishments between then and now...

Yeah, I like when he said he knew more about health insurance than anybody and then said, "Who knew health insurance would be so hard?" after Congress couldn't get anything done. LOL

Isn't that about the difficulty in getting legislation passed, not about health insurance itself?

He's generally voted Trump's way in the Senate?

Obama said much the same thing about Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries. "She'll say anything and change nothing."

The reason why they couldn't get a bill passed was because of the disagreements in health insurance, amongst Republicans.

OK, but that doesn't have anything to do with the comment made by Trump concerning him being personally knowledgable about the health care system.
