If Trumps numbers keep dropping then at some point he will realize that his defeat is a certainty. This would be such a blow to his ego that he could not face it. At that point he will simply resign and bluster and point fingers in every direction. This could happen at any point in the next several months.

Trump campaign fundraising:

June: $131,000,000
Second Quarter: $266,000,000
Cash on Hand: $295,000,000

Total raised for reelection to date $947,000,000

From a fund raising perspective, I don't think he is going to quit.
Let's not forget that Bloomberg is waiting in the wings for the Democrats and he alone can match any amount that Trump and the Republicans have in their "war chest!"

LOL - he already has wasted close to a billion. You think he wants to waste another?

It definitely could, but just as likely they could go up considering the jobs numbers and economic recovery.

So far, he's regained about a third of the jobs he lost. That's not such a good recovery, and as we fall back into the now rapidly-spreading pandemic, it's likely to get worse.

Economic confidence is not a loser for him yet, but it's much less of a winner than before the COVID-19 response was botched.

RCP average has him at +3 for this, the only index for which he has a positive rating. If the pandemic suddenly abates, he's probably going to keep that positive standing. If it does not, he's in for a hard time.
