Trump's tweets actually sounded quite reasonable. Those four are causing more trouble than they're worth, especially for their own party. Their antics will surely help Trump get re-elected. Look for them to get even more shrill and nutty.

It was a reasonable retort considering the attack on him by the "Gang of Four" (I'm giving them a new handle).

I think he suggested they go back to their country of origin. Recall that most of their attacks on him are on behalf of migrants from a foreign country.

Of the four, only Omar was born outside the US. There is nothing reasonable about suggesting that American-born politicians go back to their home countries. At best, his statement was hopelessly moronic. More likely, it was dishonesty fueled by an underlying sense that Muslims, non-whites, and Democrats can't be "true" Americans. Either way, it's embarrassing.

America has elected racists for president for most of her history. It's only been in the last few decades that it wasn't socially acceptable to be an open racist.

It's actually quite refreshing that he's letting the real Donald out and saying the kind of thing he's wanted to say for ages. Open racism may prove to be less pernicious than beating around the bush racism.

Senior Citizen doesn't start with a "D." By my quick calculations, anyone who helped elect LBJ (who won the Presidential election in 1964) would have to be a minimum of 75 years old right now (and 76 in November). Which, at least to me, makes the idea of using LBJ a red herring.
