Good. I hope they have a looooooooong, meaningful conversation. Seriously, though, I don't think the Filipino guy will want to fly down to the golf course and sink a few balls. Trump needs to be on message, stately, well-informed, well guarded.

American asserting their presence in South east Asia against Chinese interests means that good relations with the Philippines are necessary. The Philippines has has island along the trade routes that China wants. As long as America promises to have the back of the Philippines, China will have to share power in that region of the world.

The current Philippine president is criticized on human rights, but at least the human rights of the Philippines are miles ahead of Iran, which leftist in American had no problem playing footsie with for the past eight years.
