President Donald Trump on Friday twice ignored a question about whether he supports QAnon, a convoluted, right-wing, pro-Trump conspiracy theory.

FBI memo warns QAnon poses potential terror threat: report

An FBI document, first reported by Yahoo News, identifies conspiracy theories as potential domestic terrorism threats, specifically identifying QAnon, a group that believes there is a "deep state" working against President Trump, in the memo.

It would be more reasonable to describe Islam as a terrorist threat, since far more terrorism is committed in the name of Islam than QAnon, but the FBI won't do that. I personally think that identifying any constitutionally protected free speech with terrorism has dangerous implications for liberty in this country, so this tells us more about the FBI than anybody else - the same FBI that illegally surveilled the current President's campaign, which has now been confirmed.
