On the first day of his presidency while standing in front of a memorial to the CIA's fallen, he bemoaned the press "crowd size" reporting at his inauguration. Trump has no sense of honor nor propriety.

Or the time he stood up there and received the Noble Peace Prize for doing absolutely nothing except getting elected. No shame what so ever, oh wait…

Here is how ThinkProgress--a left-of-center website--described Laura Ingraham's supposed offense:

The Fox News host called white supremacist Paul Nehlen and others "people who believe in national sovereignty."

If anyone can find an endorsement of white supremacy in that, or advocacy of it, he is not thinking straight. But of course the idea is merely to suggest that this is what it amounts to.

Meanwhile, outfits like Black Lives Matter can call for the murder of police officers and be defended by saying that the organization (also) seeks racial justice etc.

This is wrecking American political dialog--to constantly misrepresent the intentions of every speaker who is among the opposition group while winking at worse things coming from those on the side that the speaker favors. :sigh:

Trying to change the subject so quickly?

Sums up my view:

....
"To have Donald Trump — the bone-spur evader of the Vietnam draft, the coddler of autocrats, the would-be destroyer of the European Union, the pay-up-now denigrator of NATO, the apologist for the white supremacists of Charlottesville — commemorate the boys from Kansas City and St. Paul who gave their lives for freedom is to understand the word impostor. You can’t make a sculpture from rotten wood.

It’s worth saying again. If Europe is whole and free and at peace, it’s because of NATO and the European Union; it’s because the United States became a European power after World War II; it’s because America’s word was a solemn pledge; it’s because that word cemented alliances that were not zero-sum games but the foundation for stability and prosperity on both sides of the Atlantic.

Of this, Trump understands nothing. Therefore he cannot comprehend the sacrifice at Omaha Beach 75 years ago. He cannot see that the postwar trans-Atlantic achievement — undergirded by the institutions and alliances he tramples upon with such crass truculence — was in fact the vindication of those young men who gave everything."

RE: Laura Ingraham if no one read the linked article or watched her show. With the backdrop of Colleville-sur-Mer and the graves of our fallen, what somber issues did she tackle?

Trump's god's are money, fame, and power (The Judeo-Christian God whom some Americans believe "ordained" Trump to lead is not even recognized by Trump. Indeed, if Trump lived in Jesus' time he would have been singing Herod's song from 'Jesus Christ Superstar.')

He paid honor to one god in Ireland, trying to promote his golf course.

He paid homage to fame with the Ingraham interview, seeking an audience.

He us Mr. Cellophane, transparent and insubstantial.

The weird part of Trump’s interview is that he claims to be the one “holding up” the ceremony...?

First rule of Trump, it's always about him, even when it's not.

Wait, I thought Mueller acted honorably? Donald even Tweeted so a little while ago. Has something changed?

Clearly Donald has -- you know how he gets when the sun goes down... especially after a busy day...

If you can’t see that as her being an apologist for white supremacism, then you’ve lost grip on reality. She’s literally equating racial supremacy with believing in national sovereignty, as if only white people can be American.

He was very cranky that day. A bunch of Tweets full of attacks and grievances including a personal attack on a citizen.

It's unpresidential, but I'm sure his fans cheered him on.

They always do -- they might be next if they didn't.
