They are supposed to test in order for people to know the threat level in their community. If they test positive, they must quarantine themselves for the good of the nation. With track and trace others along their path might be found and tested. In some nations quarantine of COVID patients is enforced by law. Fines were imposed on those who refused to obey.
Exactly accurate.Quite a prejudiced thread title, isn't it?
Now, let's try at least to be serious. If you think that his decision to end the press conference abruptly was not polite, it shows absolutely no objectivity or fairmindedness to talk as though the questioning by that reporter was not itself boorish.Donald Trump will say anything at any time to anyone if he thinks it will gain him some adulation or a momentary advantage.
Sad how low his supporters have had to bring their expectations down to continue defending such shameful behavior.
How so ?Quite a prejudiced thread title, isn't it?
It's much more a case of one of those, as yet, "unspoken questions" which has been on many people's minds. It's evident that the disrespectful question and behavior of the person asking the first question did not deserve much better. It's supposed to be a press conference, not some sort of "get the president" game.

Her colleague allowed her to finish her question ... in typical journalistic fashion ...And then in good ol' Jim Acosta fashion, she refused to shut up when someone else was called upon for the next question. No, none of that seems to have mattered at all to the armchair critics.
My problem is that he didn't answer the question that she asked. China would have no way of knowing why Trump keeps saying the US is doing more testing than any other country and why it seems to be a competition for him and yet he said "Ask China" an answer that made no sense. Now, let's try at least to be serious. A leader should willing and able to answer even a stupid question and if their response makes sense the person asking the question looks just as stupid as their question.People are dying all over the globe, and I have watched news from other countries...we all (just about) have something in common. The testing issue. For weeks now we have heard nothing but SHAME on the government for the testing not being to where the reporters think it should be. Look at this country, and how they can do it, etc. He comes out with his medical expert to show how things have progressed, and how the comparisons they have used for the number of weeks don't apply at this point.
Now she wanted to know why he talks about it the way he does - competition. It isn't because its been framed that way in the media for weeks. lol that can't be it (sarcasm)!!
She asked a stupid question - and there were a couple of other ones too that were really dumb from others. As she said people are dying everyday, and YEP the first thing they want to know is why he is treating testing as a competition. No doubt the first question on a person's mind is that one. (eye rolls) If we could turn that around? Her question no doubt gave them a smile knowing someone finally asked it. (eye rolls)
He has been saying for weeks on end that China is responsible for the deaths, but this nitwit thinks he only mentions it because she is present? Now, that was about as intelligent as her question.
Do these news outlets NOT have any capable reporters they can send? Seriously. They gripe and complain about how bad he is, but they aren't winning any awards themselves.
Honestly ... he's been saying that we've been doing more testing than everybody else for weeks now ... and that's not true ... on a "per capita" basis. She asked a stupid question - and there were a couple of other ones too that were really dumb from others. As she said people are dying everyday, and YEP the first thing they want to know is why he is treating testing as a competition. No doubt the last question on a person's mind is that one.
