God surveyed the tragedy of the rebellion of Lucifer and realized that God could only trust God. After the War of the Angels, God started over after repairing the Earth. With Adam and Eve, God began a grand plan to reproduce God through mankind. Beginning with Adam and Eve, God is creating an eternal God Family and mankind is destined to become eternal sons and daughters of the Almighty God. This is why Paul called those who are led by the spirit of God, the "sons of God." Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. KJV
The language Paul used in Romans 8 is not taught in mainstream christianity today. "What do children become after they grow up?" The answer is, "They become like their parents." Paul states that mankind's destiny is to be heirs of God, joint-heirs with Christ. The children of God grow up to become God! Christ said that he was one with the Father. Christ made himself to be God and was considered by the Jews of his day as a blasphemer for such a statement. It was blaspheme during Christ's time and is sounds like blaspheme today. Mankind's destiny is to become God and this was the true message that Christ brought to this world.
John 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. KJV
Christ came to this Earth to be the first to be born into the family of God. The scripture states that Christ was the firstborn of many brethren. Paul, by equating Christians to being brothers or sisters of Christ, was stating that a Christian's ultimate destiny is to be God just as Christ is God. John 1 makes it plain that Christ is the creator God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. … 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. NIV
In Romans, Paul states it is mankind's destiny to be glorified as Christ is glorified.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. KJV
Paul understood mankind's true destiny. In Paul's writings to the Romans, he makes it plain that mankind's destiny is to someday become equal to Christ as members of the God Family. Christ will always have the authority as head of the body and will rule as King; but as his brothers and sisters, mankind's Incredible Human Potential is to be eternal family members in the Kingdom of God.
Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; KJV

Adam and Eve

In Genesis, Satan immediately started trying to separate mankind from God and to thwart mankind from achieving its eternal destiny as a member of the God Family.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. KJV
Satan is an eternal being and can never die. Satan is jealous of the mankind's holy destiny. He deceived Eve into believing that the Tree of Good and Evil had the same properties as the Tree of Life, which represents the destiny of eternal life. The Tree of Good and Evil represents sin which is transgressing the law of God. Sin results in death.
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. KJV
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death… KJV
Satan entices Eve with her eternal potential, yet seduces her to try and achieve it by disobeying God. By deceiving Adam and Eve to sin, Satan made it impossible for mankind to achieve eternal life. Had Adam and Eve obeyed God and resisted Satan, they would have achieved eternal life and the Plan of God would have taken a completely different path. However, God knew in advance that Adam and Eve would fail their test. But since Christ succeeded where Adam and Eve failed, mankind can still achieve its true destiny.
Proving Mankind's Destiny
All scriptures are from the KJV unless otherwise noted:

Mankind is the offspring of God Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. KJ Hebrews 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh, which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Mankind will be heirs of God Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Mankind is joint heirs with Christ Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together
Mankind shall inherit all things Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Mankind shall receive mansions John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Christians shall sit on God's throne Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Christians will be given a crown of glory 1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. NIV
Mankind shall receive the same glory and image as the Lord 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Mankind will receive the same type of body as Christ Philippians 3:21 Who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. NKJV
Christians will be given power Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Mankind will be made rulers Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Mankind shall judge the world and angels 1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
Mankind will bear the image of the heavenly 1 Corinthians 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the Earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Mankind will be like God 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Mankind will partake of God's divine nature 2 Peter 1:4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. NKJV These scriptures, when taken literally, show that mankind's true destiny is to someday be like God as Christ is God, with the same type of body as Christ and the same power and abilities as Christ. This is the awesome truth that Satan has deceived the world from knowing. This message of mankind's true destiny was the gospel that Christ preached. In addition to that, Christ revelaed what the Plan of God was for mankind to actually achieve this destiny.
Satan also has a plan for keeping mankind's destiny a mystery to the world. Part of that plan involves the doctrine of the Trinity.

We may agree more than we disagree but I believe the fall was not just foreseen by G-d but a necessary part of G-d’s plan for man to become like G-d. The fall of man and the atonement of Christ allowed man to ignorantly sin and not be completely accountable - because fallen man did not understanding the difference between good and evil. But by ignorantly experiencing sin man could become like G-d by a two step process. The first step is that having experienced sin and desiring to be holy then the second step is through repentance (which requires faith in Christ and his atonement) man can be free of the “chains” of sin which is death. And this freedom from death is called the resurrection. Thus once resurrected with light and truth man may now choose according to his desire and knowledge (without ignorance) good or evil. And the mercy of G-d is the great gift to man according to their desire - if they desire good or if they desire evil.

Perhaps where we disagree is in my understanding that the fall of man was necessary in G-d's great "plan of salvation". I believe Satan knew that Adam and Eve would fall but Satan’s plan was to create a situation beyond the fall that would prevent the one thing necessary for them (Adam and Eve) to become like G-d. Satan sought to end marriage (where by man and woman become one flesh capable of creating human life in the manner of G-ds). Thus is it that Satan tempted them not just to eat the fruit but to decide out side of acting as one.

{Jesus speaking}"But what they call the tree of knowledge of good and evil, <> it was I who brought about that they ate." ~Secret John
Genesis, if one speaks Hebrew, I am told, is a story rich in humor and ribald puns, meant to titillate ancient sensibilities. However, there is no denying that man is in a "fallen" state, unable to treat others consistently without rudeness or judgment, having a heart full of love, instead of anxiety for the ills of the coming day. My branch of Christianity blames this natural state of being on a faulty creation, where one must by nature compete or die, causing mankind to by necessity, pull the world over his own eyes.
However, I suspect that either creation story is setting out to accomplish the same thing; to explain that man by nature is but a thinking animal, but God has instilled a seed of potentiality that can outgrow the natural propensity for selfish self preservation.

It's easy to think about the long term potential these days, but what about all the death, suffering, sorrow, and eternal hellfire along the way? There have been 14531 known wars in 6000 years of known history, up to 1966 (where it was added together) And to say that God intended it to happen would've broken a lot of their hearts to be sure. If it was intentional on God's end then one can certainly blame God for the evil, a favorite of serpent gnostics, as the mystery schools can then turn around and say Jesus and the Serpent are one and the same, thereby Blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

If you want real answers to stuff like this turn to the group who does nothing, but relentlessly study the Bible, the Lords Witness's. Yes they came out of the Jehovah's Witness's, but unlike the latter they expose the watchtower playing harlot with the UN, and becoming the wicked and slothful servant of Mathew 24. The Fall had to do with Satan's rebellion and was Satan's doing, but Satan's 6000 year lease on this world has Judicially ended. Study them for a while, and all the typical arguments and theology on these boards will feel like kindergarten, And some of the Gnostic stuff will seem Pagan.

In fact there is so much symbology present in the Bible, even the level you call Gnostic will be kicked up a notch.

Wow....That's really really not how we look at things. Paul's "god of this world", no matter if you call it evolution, natural selection, or Yaltoboath, created a realm that is perfect for survival of the fittest. Jesus taught us that we can transcend the natural order of things, and not have to pay attention to the "fight or flight" mechanism that is part of the condition of the human animal. Our Holy teachings attributed to the Risen Savior are depth psychology, that let's us trace out the lines of separation between the animal, the mind and the spirit. Our creation mythologies are just that; mythologies that follow the stream of human consciousness back to their true source. We don't believe in a literal demiurge as a thinking being, but as an explanation for how so much around us is embedded in chaos. We live in a fishbowl creation; we think all we see is all there is--- Christ is the lifeline that let's us see the door out.

I guess what bothers me is worshiping a G-d that was “outsmarted”. In essence if G-d did not understand a greater benefit in the fall of man and he knew that it would happen; why did he not do anything about it? One can argue that man had the freedom to choose but that is a very weak argument in light of man being unable to discern between good and evil. Why would man be placed in a state to make decisions for the good and not have the capability to understand the difference or consequences of good and evil?

Some argue that G-d told the man Adam he would die if he partook of the fruit - so man should have known and understood. Really? What did Adam know of death? What possible meaning could that have had? In truth Adam and Eve did not understand - look at Genesis 3:13. Here Eve admitted that she had been beguiled. She has been tricked - she had not understood. Was this a different attitude from Heaven than the statement of Christ when he said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do?” Was all mankind to suffer the fall because of an ignorant choice? How, can we believe or trust G-d to be merciful or just having so condemned all mankind? The answer is that the fall was necessary. If it was not necessary it is most foolish and detrimental to have faith in G-d - we have proof of that. It was the only way man could know even that which good.
