A transgender Wyoming woman was convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl inside a bathroom.

Michelle Martinez, who was known as Miguel Martinez before identifying as female, was found guilty of first-degree and second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and could face up to 70 years in prison.

Some things about the transgender bathroom issue continue to puzzle me ...

I'm afraid I don't understand how anyone proposes to keep men who have made themselves look like women ... out of women's bathrooms.

Is the plan to do a genital check for everyone entering a public bathroom ?

Is there any doubt that men who have made themselves look like women ... have been utilizing women's restrooms for decades or more ?

It can be difficult to root it out, but they should make laws and if you're caught, you should get in a lot of trouble. Just letting men into the women's room isn't an answer either.

It's possible that its a real story, but all the sources are shady.
Statistically, a public restroom is likely much safer than one's
own home though. But much harder to get paid for the story
if that's the case.

I will look into this further, but I'm going to guess the outcome
of my research. I'm going to guess that the number of instances
that a girl is raped by a family member, in her own bedroom,
is a larger number than the total transgender population.

I'm just guessing. I'll let you know my results in a few days.

If a law needs to be passed over this, then the culture is already beyond what any law can fix. We're talking about something which, when Western societies were healthy, was simply not done. If a man did get into the habit of going into women's restrooms, it was dealt with outside the law.

This is why I don't fault Trump for not weighing in on the matter. I think it was wiser not to.

All the bathrooms in my house are for whatever sex happens to be visiting. I've never seen young boys without a parent in public restrooms.
