I'm considering doing my philosophy senior thesis on shame and nudity.

Can you point me to good resources that explain the traditional Jewish understanding?

One part of the formula would be the idea that all the Jews of all time are watching over and in a sense depending on the individual Jews of this time to represent them well pretty much all across the board in every aspect of life......in all 613 major mitzvah's, (pardon my spelling).

I highly recommend the near death experience of Rabbi Alon Anava to get a better idea on how he perceived this during his seven minute brush with death.

The Torah has laws regarding sexual morality: against adultery, incest, rape, homosexuality, etc. Probably check Deuteronomy, Leviticus, etc. The Talmud may contain valid commentary. I found much information there about the Passover, ritual cleanness, etc.
