Homosexuality and Same Sex Marriage:
The Ancient Way forum allows homosexuality and same sex marriage to be discussed, without promotion*, in it's main forum and sub forums. The official statement regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage from the Assemby of Canonical Orthodox Bishops is as follows:
2. The Orthodox Christian teaching on marriage and sexuality, firmly grounded in Holy Scripture, two millennia of Church Tradition, and Canon Law, holds that the sacrament of marriage consists in the union of a man and a woman, and that authentic marriage reflects the sacred unity that exists between Christ and His Bride, the Church.
3. Persons with homosexual orientation are to be cared for with the same mercy and love that is bestowed on all of humanity by our Lord Jesus Christ. Moreover, the Church is a spiritual hospital, where we all are called to find the healing of our fallen humanity through Jesus Christ, who assumed human nature in order to restore it. All of us struggle with various passions, and it is only within the Church that we find the means of overcoming these passions with the assistance of God’s grace. Acting upon any sexual attraction outside of sacramental marriage, whether the attraction is heterosexual or homosexual, alienates us from God.

Groups That Express Teaching Against The Faith
Supporting the dignity of African Americans as equal and in the Image of God does not require the support of the Black Lives Matter Network. The movement to draw attention to the systematic inequality that many face does not require one to support the Black Lives Matter Network.
Black Lives Matter Network has a mission statement against the faith of this area, promotion of the organization is not allowed. The Black Lives Matter Network promotes the LGBTQ agenda as part of their mission. Promoting that black lives matter and they are, as all of us, made in the Image of God is allowed. Promoting social justice in line with the teachings of Christ is allowed. But supporting the Black Lives Matter Network is not.
Such actions will be considered a violation of the statement of faith for supporting things not in line with our beliefs.
Images will depend on their context. Images used directly by, or in imitation of Black Lives Matter Network organizational graphics will not be allowed.
Publicity from or for the organization will also not be allowed.
A picture relevant to a theological discussion of the topic that happens to have the words in signs, would be fine as long as they are not used repeatedly to goad.
With regards to images, there will be a grace period where violations will be dealt with through a staff discussion with the poster rather than a warning, until the community is comfortable with the moderation of this aspect.
Please evaluate whether your thread or post is more appropriate for the political forums rather than the congregational area.
