Bob Dylan said "he was full of the light". Is Bob saying in a cryptic way that TP got saved? I hope so. Just b/c TP called out the RC church and sided w/ more lib politicians certainly doesn't mean he couldn't have found the Lord. Let's hope so. And have a reunion in Heaven (he'd be in the worship band for sure).

Tom's work with the Willburys was great. Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne are the only 2 left. Very sad indeed.

Yeah, I was sad when both Roy Orbison and George Harrison passed away too.

...of all the people who have died during the last couple of years who were icons during my childhood - Robin Williams, Prince, Jerry Lewis, Carrie Fisher....I have to say that for some reason, the passing of Tom Petty (along with that of Carrie Fisher) is..actually causing me to well up in tears just a bit.

Gonna miss you, Tom! God bless you; peace be upon you! (..and thank you for the music you made, like the two songs below. They gave me awesome moods as a kid. )
