I take that back.... I did buy a collection of Tom and Jerry shorts on dvd because it was $1 at a garage sale and they stopped showing the old cartoons on tv then.

Yeah, whatever. It just looks snazzier but likely isn't better than the original cartoons some of which are no longer "correct" to watch they have to have disclaimers because people have thin skin and may freak out if they see something that shocks them.

You're right, they critiqued it on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night and said it was a kindler gentler cartoon. Mention the old ones with axes flying. The violence. I don't remember them being violent.

Oh they were all kinds of violent and had blackface and so on not for weak at heart for sure.

I was never big into T&J, preferred Looney Tunes, but friend got me a DVD w/ a bunch of T&J shorts a few years ago, & they're pretty good. I never realized T&J had won a whole bunch of Oscars.

I want to see the new movie w/ him, it'll be the first we've been to the theater since the Pandemic.
