Everyday I learn something. I thought it would be fun to share new things we learn with each other. From Sunday services to life lessons, or any other fun things! :pink:

Here's what I learned new today!

I've been going over my past bank statments. I found that in the months I write out my bills and make a budget, I paid off twice as much debt as in the months that I don't write a budget.

and for something a little more serious...

new thoughts I've heard on free will...
I know that God has given us the freedom to do our will, and the holy spirit to help us to do his. I just realised (DUH, so simple! LOL) that It's also of my free will to be close to him and that I can only be as close to God as I choose to be.
For me it's easier to think of free will as our choice to do bad. I didn't really think about the fact that it also gives me the "choice" to be good. Hope I don't sound silly to me, it's like the glass half empty/full thing. Was interesting to me!

So how about everyone else here?? What did you learn today?

AWESOME post!!

My mom had told me since I was little that "LIFE WAS CHOICES" We can choose to do right or wrong.

What did I learn today was your question... I had computer problems today that really slowed me down. I know that God was using this to teach me patience and a reminder that we need to pray even for the little things that happen in our lives.

Something new I learned yesterday... It's about "assurance" of salvation... not salvation.. but the assurance we can have of our salvation. A friend who is a pastor showed it to me.

The holy spirity alone gives assurance of Salvation, through scripture alone he illumines the believer to both the promises of God and the persevering nature of genuine faith.

This is based on/supported by 4 verses.
1 Cor 2:14, 2:10
John 6:47 and
1 John 2:3

I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share!

God Bless,
Carina

What was preaches today was how God's is unchanging.

God's life does not change.
God's character does not change.
God's truth does not change.
God's ways do not change.
God's purposes do not change.
God's Son does not change.

Well I am off. Our church is having the orchastra play beside the pond at our church for a evening sing-a-long. It should be lots of fun and fellowship.
