Haha...well, ONE of us will have too and it ain't gonna be me...
It's not. I voted with the understanding that we're kind of predicting what kind of woman we want to marry in the future. I didn't read it like "OK man club meeting now commenced! First order of business: wife-control. All in favor? Aye. *grunts, pounds fist*"I wasn't aware it was the husband's choice in what the wife wishes to do with her time and energy.
We should elope. Both of us will have careers and ambitions. Both of us will make family life a priority as well, even if it means cutting back and taking turns for a few years until they reach school age. I want to be responsible (along with wifey) for raising our children -- no babysitters I hope!
Let me guess....feminist?I wasn't aware it was the husband's choice in what the wife wishes to do with her time and energy.
Not in my interpretation, it doesn't. The New Testament's role for women who lived in the Eastern Roman Empire in the 1st century AD is what you described, but that model doesn't roll over into this century.Submit to her husband, care for her children, disciple other women, serve in the church.
Smile, agree...word word.I wasn't aware it was the husband's choice in what the wife wishes to do with her time and energy.
