To our Father

Hi all, You know, I have recently been taken up with writing out prayers to our Father and I am finding such great pleasure (to my surprise) in doing it. I honestly didnt know "where" to post it, then decided to start a blog (where I did) but then I thought, "why not post it here"? Well, I guess since it would be considered a kind of devotional. So here I am.

These are just scriptures I have sought out which are arranged as I might prefer, and slightly tweeked to make them of a more personal prayer (from me to our Father). I really do love this collection of verses together. Mostly, the giving of thanks, praise, and lifting our hands to Him for those things we might desire. And this one (in particular) is more of "what things" I have desired of Him. Might even be what we all desire of Him in some way, I dont know. But these together (to me) are rather edifying so I thought I would share these here. As I arrange more (Lord willing) I will just post under this one instead of making new threads.

To our Wonderful Father...

Our Father of all Glory Who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy great name.

My God be most blessed!

With all that is within me I bless You and render the thanksgiving due to your name.

I come before your throne in the name of Your most precious Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to offer up my praise and thanks to our most wonderful God and Father. Thank you My God for all the riches of your goodness toward us in Christ.

Blessed be the Rock of my salvation!

There is none so great as Him, and none more desirable then He.

Thy Kingdom come thy will be done, on this earth as it is in Heaven

All thanksgiving, blessing and honor be to my God forever!

I will make my requests known to the living God, in whom I make my boast, give ear O LORD for you are the God who truly hears

May the God of my joy provide all my provision as I look to Him this day for my daily bread.

How great is Your faithfulness, My God be most blessed!

Grant unto me an understanding heart that I may discern between good and evil and always have within me the willingness of heart and the power by Christ to perform the good. That I might walk before you unto all pleasing by Christ Jesus the Lord

Father forgive me all my trespasses as I also forgive those who trespass against me as you know

Grant unto me this also, that as evil abounds that it might not grieve me, be to me my Shield and the Peace that guards my heart, in whom I both rejoice and take refuge.

Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil

For your name's sake and for the praise of the glory of your grace let not iniquity have dominion over me

Set a watch at lips, let the words of my mouth , and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight. If only it be that my sentence come forth from your presence, that I might rejoice you always in speaking what is right

Grant unto me my desire, that I may be filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, having all power to grow up into my fullest measure of the stature of Christ,

Of You I ask for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You.

All my desire is known of You, and after my desire I will seek, and after the same will I ask, "that I might know You"

And now my Father having the eyes of my understanding enlightened cause me to fully know what is the hope of your calling, and what is the exceeding riches of the glory of this inheritance in all your saints.

May it be your good pleasure to enlarge me, may the peace of my God that passes all understanding and the love of Christ my Savior, which passes all knowledge abide with me and ever increasingly so that I might be filled with all my desire, the fullness of My God.

For with You all things are possible, without You what can I do? I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land.

Now unto the great God who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I can ask or think, unto the God of all power I present my requests

Cause me to know the exceeding greatness of Your power to us-ward who put our trust in You, and to know the working of Your mighty power which you exerted in Christ Jesus the Lord when you raised Him from the dead

Would that My God be pleased to count me worthy of His calling, and to fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power

And this I pray also, according to the will of my Lord that the Lord of the harvest would send forth laborers into His harvest in the hope always that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified in them that hear

And that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in me, and me in him, according to the grace of my God

That it would please the God of all peace to sanctify me wholly; that my whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May the love you have shed abroad in my heart abound yet more and more unto the praise of Your glory even in knowledge and in all judgment.

My thanks and praise to My God who hears us by Christ, My God be forever blessed , and may all who love our Lord Jesus be enriched with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

I love this by Hans Zimmer, been in an instrumental mood lately, I guess its because its far easier to meditate listening to various instrumentals then songs (in general) so I thought I would post this too.

Heres another arrangement of verses (not in prayer form) But these speak to me when I have done wrong before the LORD and must wait upon Him. The same can be shown to be inclusive of suffering for doing right (verses wrong) or going through a time of tribulation.

This one (in particular) is for doing wrong and receiving His correction for it. So thats how I am running this one, in a kind of back and forth...

LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?

Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

Ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.

Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me

My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

When we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently?

Mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

I had to cut this one in half it was too long, but I do like these together. I might re edit it, it seems to be all I do is re edit them over and over again. But arranging them, rearranging them and thinking about them all day has been such a blessing.

Well, this stinks, I keep forgetting while adding and adding more that characters are limited and always have to go back and delete, and end up being very undecided as to what I should delete, and then lose the highs through them, so now Im not having as much fun save to write them in my docs. I think I really like Hans Zimmer, just been listening to his music as of late, I just think its so beautiful, so I will probrobly post one of his with each post.

I was playing around with some of these today. I have honestly been in la la land and enjoying it. Its so much better to sit before the LORD and meditate on His words then come to the forums to enter into debate, Im just so loving this. Again, I had to cut out a little, but not so bad.


Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

This is really pretty too by Hans Zimmer, gets better even. I just had to order some of these, this was one of those I ordered. I just got a verizon warning for going over my limit since listening to these (and others) daily, so best to just purchase them I suppose.

Well, an overnight power outage took this morning's post, which I was working on last night. So be it, the LORDS will, perhaps something better will follow.

I found this video on the names of God, to be honest I wasnt sure I was going to like it, but it did sorta grow on me, so I figured to post it, since I havent my own post, and Fridays I am often more busy.

I dont even know what you might call this... its not really "a song" I dont think. I actually wish I can find more similar to this, but I dont know what category something like this would fall under to look for more. And I might be considered a bit odd here on this one but honestly I really do like this kind of thing.

I suppose, whatever floats each of our boats huh?

I did like this one better when I started it then I diverted off. I have the hardest time staying within one similitude when you can catch it tying into another a little, then I veer off. I should have separated them into two rather then blending them together, so I might redit this later. Its just a way you can sorta catch a thing between the two (in the beginning) even between the law (and prophets) which prophesied until John (who was a light) and the testimony (the greater light (or a Christ, the light of all men) whereas the testimony of Christ is confirmed in you. Catching the same in two great lights too. Just similar is all.

Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.

For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord

God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night:

He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

But I have greater witness than that of John

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

These come through a post I was reading where it seems abiding in the apostles teachings is repugnant to many these days, as if the Spirit of God did not inspire their words and would mock (through them) His own words. Its really crazy what you come across these days. Boggles my mind (everytime). Believe us, not the scripture... wow, as if Jesus confirms their words over His own apostles or something. I will say no more....

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

We have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

I love these which testify of Jesus Christ

Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth;and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken

They are they which testify of me


And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

These testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

For mine eyes have seen thy salvation

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses (the law) and Elias (the prophets)

Who appeared in glory, and spake of "his decease" which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

And God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

For these testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
