To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

There is no point looking up to somebody except Jesus Christ. It is not worth sacrificing ourselves in favor of nobody. What we have to do is offering our bodies in a living, holy and acceptable sacrifice,to Jesus, and this in order that His mercies manifest through us (Romans 12.1).

It is no good keeping back the sword from blood (Jeremiah 48.10), that is, staying blarneying, when we know that the person is doing evil against the neighbor (Proverbs 26.28; 28.23; 29.5). The behest is simple:

• “Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31.8,9).

Why are you urging people to do this?

God is not swayed by good works, he wants obedience not sacrifice.

He wants Christians who show they Love Jesus, by the way they Love others.
