  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The point is that Jesus is the word of God.

We know now that DNA is the language of God.
I would question that title. I would say it may be more something like 'a language of God in this present world'.

So it was through Jesus that the world was created.
Nevertheless Jesus formed Adam from the dust of the earth, and Jesus breathed life into him.
Only because of man's transgression God's absolute justice required man to die in his sin and transgression. There was only one alternative, If we do not die, then Jesus had to die in our place. Through one man: Adam sin entered into the world and through one man: Jesus the price is paid for that sin.
That has always been a great mystery to me. Hard to grasp. You are right, but I suspect it is very deep and we only scratch the surface. I suspect that not any 'man' could have paid the price by dying.
What people do not seem to realize is the scribes were very accurate for many thousands of years because of the mathematical precision of the Bible, what we call the Word of God. The Bible is accurate because God continues to watch over His word to perform it. We see this same precision in DNA where it is able to correct the copy errors and maintain it's integrity.
I agree it is the very word of God.

God's creation does not all run on fishbowl time.
Big enough to contain man till Jesus returns.
All we live in and the timespace and laws we know. The exact boundries of the fishbowl do not matter since you won't get that far anyhow.
It is all you detect.
You think distant stars are little christmas lights on the inside of a cosmic snowglobe?

Whatever they are, they were created. The obsessive attempts by science to explain all the unknown, out of reach universe with godless precepts and preconceived little ideas is nothing more than deceptive mind mutilation.

Imagining ourselves inside a giant fishbowl which has little lights that mimic exactly what we would see if said lights were actually distant suns seems like far more of a "mind mutilation".

The fishbowl is simply the time and place God has put mankind. Even if the past or future looks the same inside your little head, that really means nothing at all, since God Almighty told us how different things were and will be.
Looking at the vast created universe, we also may think it is a certain way based on our realities in this place and time God put us. Stick to what you know.

So how does the light get from the stars to the fishbowl?

So you can't tell us how an angel gets from heaven to earth. OK. Neither will I tell you how light gets here.

I never said that angels go anywhere, so why would I need to explain it?

I am asking you to explain your fishbowl. How does the light get from the star to the fishbowl?

You can't say they don't. So what can you say, praytell??
I am asking you to explain your fishbowl. How does the light get from the star to the fishbowl?
Once light exists in our area it exists in time and also in space as we know it. So in the fishbowl it does what light does and we know a bit about that.
Outside the area, the space and time that confines man and our world and sun etc....we do not know.

You look from inside the fishbowl..see movement...and claim time exists as we know it because we see it here where time does exist.

To you and science, as primitive and limited as you are, it will look that way.
Just to be clear, is your argument as for why you can't explain how light gets to this undetectable fishbowl that there are other undetectable things which you also can't explain and still believe?

No. My argument is that man has limits to what the little piker knows. While some may assume and believe that what is under his nose is what the universe is like from beginning to end, they actually don't know what they are talking about. What would light be like without time as we know it, and in space that is not like anything we have ever been to or experienced? The clear answer is you do not know. Pretensions may stop now.

Cosmoquest couldn't answer me either and so they had their pet administrators ban me when I kept showing by their own science they were wrong about their claims when it came to redshift and an expanding universe. They aren't experts - just a lot of wannabees that have their pet administrators ban people they can't answer when those people actually understand the science and know the lies they throw about.

I suspect the adminstrators themselves would dispute that version of your banning.

You keep pretending real scientists can't know a lot of things they do know and all you have to defend that idea is mere assertion, which we may safely ignore. I suppose your pretendings will continue . . . . to your loss.

FALSE THEY KNOW NOTHING OF REAL ORIGINS OR gOD.

Some of them are Christians, you know.

Besides, even if they know nothing of "real origins" or "God", they still know a lot of things about the nature of reality - that sciencey stuff you discount and deny all the time.

If so they did not learn it from science!
Besides, even if they know nothing of "real origins" or "God", they still know a lot of things about the nature of reality
Impossible because God determines reality and is reality.
