And 561,356 are wondering what version of of reality has the 5,800 who got sick from a breakthrough infection in pursuit of a cure being the worse option.

74 vs 561,356? I’ll take door number one, thanks. 5,800 infections vs 31,231,869? Yup. For sure sticking with door number one.

While i agree the vaccine reduces the numbers significantly, the numbers you present as basis for comparison are hardly honest.

You're comparing the number of people infected/killed from Covid since the beginning of the pandemic (well over a year) with the number of fully vaccinated people infected/killed (much smaller population pool and a much shorter timespan).

You can stick with door number one, but not because of the numbers you put forth in your post.

You mean like Fauci? The highest paid employee in the federal government?
No, Fauci is an administrator who runs a research agency. I meant all of the people who work in local and state public health departments, the CDC, the FDA, and the like. People who spend their working lives not getting high salaries (most could make a lot more money in industry) but doing their jobs every day, trying to protect and improve the health of everyone. Even those who denigrate them, slander them, and ignore their expertise in favor of some self-appointed youtube expert. Those people.

You expect people to work for free?

You guys are long on unsubstantiated speculations about dark motives.

At the risk of seeming to spike the football, a youtube "expert" was posted earlier today expressing vaccine skepticism. In less than 60 seconds, I discovered that this "expert" was inside the capitol on January 6th! Can you believe it?

I guess this "doctor" has enough free time to participate in such mayhem.

No but what makes him worth over 400000 bucks a year?

What makes anyone worth that much?

Typically it's a combination of a) the value they add, b) the fact there are very few people qualified or capable of being qualified to do it and c) they're simply in the top percentile of people to do it.

Medical/scientific salaries in the U.S. are amongst the highest in the world.

It's not at all unreasonable for him to earn that much. Comparing it to the President is not really a fair comparison since one is the peak of a profession whereas the other is a primarily a service to one's country.

Now that people are getting "vaccinated" with the substances that are authorized for "emergency use", and are considered to be "safe and effective", many have paid the price for getting the shots, while thousands more are facing a big disappointment--being infected with Covid, and even dying from it.

CDC Studies 'Breakthrough' COVID Cases Among People Already Vaccinated

"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is tracking these coronavirus infections that break through the vaccine's protection, told NPR on Thursday that the agency has so far received reports of about 5,800 breakthrough cases. No "unexpected patterns have been identified in case demographics or vaccine characteristics," the CDC says.

Though these sorts of breakthrough infections have been reported among people of all ages, a little more than 40% so far have been among people age 60 or older, according to the agency, and 65% of such cases have been among women. About 29% of those experiencing breakthrough infections experienced no symptoms, but 7% were hospitalized and 74 people died."

And yet people will still shame you for even questioning getting any of the vaccines, claiming you're selfish, ignorant, anti-science, and a killer of the elderly...even if you never tested positive for covid.

Who even shamed anyone for questioning the vaccine? Post number will suffice. Shaming someone for misrepresenting facts about the vaccine, of course, does not count.

Well, if there is anything to be shamed for, it is the patent misrepresentation of this figure of 5800. Presenting this fact without context is like opining thus:

"do you realize that since the beginning of the year 1000 people have died in airplane crashes"

when the complete truth would be

"do you realize that since the beginning of the year 1000 people have died in airplane crashes and 10,000,000 people survived plane trips"

Well everyone does okay abiding by the no flaming/goading rules of CF, but on other social media it's a real problem.

This is just crazy. In what insane country are people railing against the vaccine more so than the disease?

I don't think that's happening in any country. There is no "vaccine". None have been approved by the FDA as a vaccine. They've only been approved with an emergency use authorization.

Cases are rapidly dropping in countries with successful vaccination rollout. Look at the UK and Israel for example.

Arguing against the vaccine because it isn't 100% is ridiculous. Few things in life are 100%. Your seat belt isn't going to save you every time, would you stop wearing that?

Doesn't the USA have a successful rollout? More than 4 million per day are getting it. Yet we're also being told that a "4th wave" of the virus is coming. So much for "rapidly dropping".

What has been approved for emergency use authorization?

Profoundly misleading, naturally.

77 million people have been vaccinated! Let me be fair and assume that, since reports of cases lag reports of vaccinations, that the real number for the purpose of this discussion is lower, say 50 million.

Now when did my "guzintas" in elementary school, 5800 "guzinta" 50 million about 10,000 times.

In other words one in ten thousand vaccinated persons has gotten Covid, at least as reported.

The real number is probably higher, but the point is that you continue your pattern of misrepresenting the facts.

Right, at least as reported. Many reported deaths and injuries from the shot are being dismissed as unrelated, or with the hand-waving, "there's no credible evidence" excuse.

No, those are reports. It is not acknowledged that the vaccine had anything to do with the deaths.

Doesn't matter. Acknowledging something to be true means to agree with it. Just because they don't agree doesn't make something untrue.

Do you have even a shred of actual evidence for this claim?

Are you asking if I can show you examples? Sure, I can give you examples, but showing them to you can be turned around against me so you can say, "see, it was fact checked and debunked", which would be a circular way of repeating your disagreement. But here you go:
Fact check: Meme on deaths after COVID-19 vaccination lacks context
You have been caught making things up, so you try to dance.

Again:

Do you have even a shred of actual evidence for your claim?

And as any reasonable person knows, finding the odd anecdote does not count - do you have any evidence of systematic attempts to cover up deaths that are factually related to the vaccine?
