As the Cincinnati Enquirer reports, the group of young men in MAGA hats seen harassing marchers in the now-viral video appear to be students at the Covington Catholic High School, which sends a delegation of its students to Washington to attend the anti-abortion March For Life annually. This year, the rally was held the same day as the Indigenous Peoples March.

The video shows one of the teen boys standing right in the face of a Native elder, as others are seen chanting and taunting around him. Indian Country Today reports that the elder in question is Nathan Phillips, an Omaha elder who is also a veteran of the Vietnam War and the former director of the Native Youth Alliance. One attendee who shared video of the incident on Instagram wrote that she was “pushed and laughed at by teenage boys who grew up to believe that their lives are more important than ours.”

Another post describing the incident reads, in part: “As we tried to move through the crowd, they closed in tighter around us, and wouldn’t allow anyone to pass. It was obvious that they wanted any excuse for the day to turn violent. They repeatedly ‘bumped’ into us, trying to agitate people into confrontation. But instead, the very few of us left stood quietly, trying to remain calm. I was seething with anger and rage and disappointment. I was so confused about why these boys would go out of their way to harass such a small, vulnerable group.”

Although parents and chaperones were present, multiple witnesses on social media say they did nothing to intervene.
Mob of MAGA Hat-Wearing Teen Boys Caught on Video Harassing Native Elder
Nice that they came for a right-to-life rally. Not so nice that they acted like Nazi thugs when they happened on people of a different culture.

Shame on the "adults" who were supposed to be supervising them. Kudos to the diocese and the school who condemned these creeps and indicated punishment, and perhaps expulsion would follow.

Is there another video? Where is the harassment and bumping and surrounding? It looks like a pro abortion group interfering with the March for Life.

Best I can get out of this is the youngsters were disrespectful with some making fun of the music. Some were dancing.

This is a huge stretch.

I hope the kids are not getting their attitude from their parents, and I hope they don't become nasty little thugs in later life.

Of course, the boys are getting that attitude from their parents. Racism is taught at home. Children are not born racist. They are taught to be racist. Children learn racist behavior from their parents.

Here is a link to the Diocese of Covington where a message is posted about this.

I couldn't get the link to work for me. So, I found this article online.

Catholic school apologizes after clip emerges of students mocking Native Americans

They released a joint statement with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington Saturday afternoon.

"We condemn the actions of the Covington Catholic High School students towards Nathan Phillips specifically, and Native Americans in general, Jan 18., after the March for Life, in Washington, D.C.," the statement read. "We extend our deepest apologies to Mr. Phillips. This behavior is opposed to the Church's teachings on the dignity and respect of the human person. The matter is being investigated and we will take appropriate action, up to and including expulsion. We know this incident also has tainted the entire witness of the March for Life and express our most sincere apologies to all those who attended the March and all those who support the pro-life movement."

Yes, this is the one posted at the Diocese site.

Given the track record of false narratives coming from leftist sites I would have waited another 24 hours to post this.

It was on CBS news and they have video of it.

One thing about teenage boys is they never think anything is too stupid to do.

Stupidity is one thing. Hatred is quite another. For whatever reason, MAGA seems to translate into this kind of anti-American behavior.

When we have a president who calls a woman who has a Native American ancestor, "Pocahontas", it's no surprise that high school boys might emulate his behavior.

Teenage boys are a mixture of hatred and idiocy. I should know I was once around them myself. The thing is I really don't think this kind of hatred sprung up because of Trump. It's always been there and it will still be there when his term is over.

I think that Trump's racially charged remarks can and does encourage that kind of behavior in people, especially in young people. He referred to Black NFL players as "sons of [profanity]" and insisted they should be fired because they peacefully knelt during the national anthem. He referred to El Savador, Haiti and other African countries as "[profanity] hole countries". He pointed to an African-American man at one of his campaign rallies and said, "Look at my African-American over here!"

He has repeatedly used the name of Pocahontas to insult and slander Elizabeth Warren. He recently used the Wounded Knee Massacre (where an estimated 300 Lakota Sioux were slaughtered in cold blood) to continue his verbal assault against Elizabeth Warren. And finally, he has a well documented history of being racist against black people and Native Americans. He and his father was sued by the government for housing discrimination against black people. I posted the following links before of the documented history of his racist behavior. As you can see, the list of evidence is quite extensive.

Some tidbits emerged out. Is that the boys and some black teens were getting into a fight with one another and the Native American man was coming to break it up, which resulted in him being disrespected by them. So, the boys didn't intentionally surround him, but they are still in trouble for acting ignorant when he was trying to calm things down between them and that other group.

I watched three different video, one is over a hour long, and never saw the boys taunt, push, call names, or do anything wrong.
I saw a couple racist black men and a peaceful Native American woman conversing and a foul mouthed Native American/Hispanic being rude to one of the boys, who didn't respond in kind. Saw the NA grandpa beating his drum while he and the boy in the MAGA looked each other in the face, neither looked upset in anyway. I didn't see anyone spit or see in confrontations with these boys.
