Today has been a bit of an eye-opener for me. I've been reading about the history of my church. I've discovered that it has been a place of Christian worship since the 1200's. The crypt, which I have not yet seen, is the oldest man-built structure in the town and goes back to the same time. The majority of the church has been rebuilt over time, but it's nice to know a little bit about its history. I'll have to ask the Rector to give me a tour of its oldest parts sometime.
