I don't need this quiz to tell me what has already been confirmed, but I saw it on another forum and filled it out. Kind of neat. Some of the questions seem a little wonky, but otherwise neat. It's an Aspie quiz but supposedly it can be taken by anyone and just measures how normal or not normal you are. I personally see the questions and see only one possible answer, making everyone Aspie, which obviously can't be true.

Taking The Aspie Quiz | Musings of an Aspie

I'm wondering how much we differ from one another as a community. Watch you all come back as neurodiverse, kind of like how WebMD says you have cancer and are going to die in 48 hours over a paper cut. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

EDIT: Sounds more accurate than I thought according to the person that wrote the article. So maybe ignore the WebMD joke.:

    Here are my scores:

Your Aspie score: 170 of 200
    Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 32 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie
For comparison, I asked The Scientist, who is neurotypical, to take the quiz. He generously agreed to let me use his results. Here they are:

Your Aspie score: 85 of 200
    Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 158 of 200
    You are very likely neurotypical
Finally, our adult daughter volunteered to share her results as well:

Your Aspie score: 77 of 200
    Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 143 of 200

    This was mine:

Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 165 of 200
    Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 52 of 200
You are very likely neurodiverse (Aspie)

I have panic & such but I think my off behavior stems from that. And of course, life experience.

    Fair enough.

According to the more in-depth PDF, I scored strongly "Aspie"(Not keen on that word, but meh) on my poor ability connecting with people.

My scores in other areas also adding to "Aspie" is my OCD-like behaviour, and my sexuality.
The questions were for heterosexuals, so subtracting 2 points from "Aspie" would probably make it more accurate.

But had I taken this test fifteen years ago I would have scored much higher.

I have OCD and social phobia, though. The quiz asked me about that.

This is really interesting! For every 4 males with Austism Spectrum Disorder (which ranges from Aspergers to High Functioning Autism to full blown Autism), there is only 1 female.

Male scores so far on the neurodiverse side:
    165 (me)
    89
    91
    112

Compared to the female scores on the neurodiverse side:
    71
    54
    43
    94

This one is most surprising to me. You'd think we'd share more in common. Outside of religion and politics, me might. ^_^

But it's also interesting to me that you said you were an outcast (as was I, and still am, really), that befriended another outcast that turned out to have Aspergers. That makes sense based on this test.

Strong, unwavering opinions that we don't like to compromise on is the issue. You like video games, right? We could have a blast talking about those.

My score would probably be different if a few more options were available. It asked if I could do something or not without giving me an option for just being a good actor and being able to fake normalcy when needed.
    I can see that.

Yuuuuup. Elder Scrolls particularly. I'm probably considered addicted to Skyrim. ^_^

I'm also a Magic: The Gathering player, but I play physical cards rather than virtual cards. It's not the same virtually. Well, the game is the same, but it doesn't feel the same.

Faking normalcy is a big time Aspie trait. It just can't be sustained for long periods of time; the faster the situation moves, the better.

I have to say, I was a little worried the test would tell me I was a psychopath.

I only dumped about 300 hours into that game. Not too bad, right? I probably dumped about double that into Morrowind. I'm older than you so some of my all time classics are ones you probably didn't play like Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment.

It's why I would not be diagnosed as an aspie, I suppose. I'm a fairly decent actor and can get absorbed into playing the role. One thing I had when I was younger is that I felt that the world around me was in some way unreal and the people within it were not real people like I was. I get that from time to time but I've been able to suppress it mostly.

300+ hours in both Oblivion and Skyrim for me. Skyrim is the only game that has ever made me feel like I was literally in a different world. It's often my escape from reality. I never did get to play Morrowind. I was way young when it came out, and started my gaming during the PS3/360 generation, and never have had a gaming PC.

Viewing oneself as almost alien in a different world is also another strong trait. Not kidding. Look it up. The feeling that you are not the same kind of being as those around you.

Apparently you're the most neurotypical, 'normal'. But who gets to define normal? ^_^
