My husband and I have been going through some difficult times. As if that wasn't enough, our snow plow has been stolen today - almost new, used maybe only 10 times or so. Talk about losing some $3000...

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Its especially tough with the weather being what it is, and winter still on its way. Sorry to hear about your loss. Will your HO's insurnace cover it?

We are trying to work on it now. Our truck is insured, but the plow is not considered to be a part of it, so there might be a problem. We'll see what they say.

Well, we still haven't heard back from the insurance company. It does not look like they're going to help though...
Other things are pretty much the same, too, but we don't lose our hope and see some good coming. I thank God that none of our troubles had affected our relationship. My husband and I are very close.

I have recently won a small victory - I have cleaned our dining table, and have been fighting off my father-in-law's attempts to clutter it again for over a week now! Yesss!
(I guess that explains why we want our own house...
)

Thanks Amy, He certainly heard you and answered. I was able to chat to a mum at school yesterday when I was feeling really down at the current situation, and it really uplifted me. I really feel that God sent her to me to listen, (which often times is all I need), and now I'm feeling better about things. Not that circumstances have changed, just my attitude

Well, I've got a good news and a bad news.
The good one is that the insurance company might help us pay for a new snow plow, after all. Thank you, Lord.
And the bad one is that my husband can lose his job, mostly for speaking up and telling the truth. He was accused of something that wasn't his fault, and when he pointed out that the true reason of the incident was certain policy violation the company had overlooked, his boss didn't like it. He admitted that it wasn't my husband's fault and promised that it will not go into his records. Yet the next thing we know, my husband gets the "final warning" paper.

An update: we now know who stole our snow plow. It was a neighbor; his ex-girlfriend came to us and shared that she overheard him talking to his buddies and discussing how they did it and how they sold it for $200. We have filed a report to the police today, with that lady willing to testify, but since there are still no witnesses who would actually see the guy stealing, we do not know how it will turn out.

I just prayed for you. Don't lose hope yet. God always has a way of turning things round for us. A few weeks a go. I dented my new car (badly) and got 2 parking tickets on the same day + added problems from my boss at work. I wanted to just cave in, but I prayed to God, and held my head up high. In the following days to come, he made everything better. The cost of repairing the dent and tickets were covered in a big bonus ( that I wasn't expecting) that i got from work. I even had some change left. So hang in there. He is an ever faithful God.
