The world is having a shortage of Catholic priests.
In 1970 world population was between 3 and 4 billion.
Today world population is between 7 and 8 billion.

In 1970 there were about 400,000 Catholic priests.
Today there are still about 400,000 Catholic priests.

The best way to make up the shortage is to make women priests.
Women are 50% of the world population.
All they have to do is allow married men to be ordained. And the population numbers really doesn't matter as only 5% of believers attend church unlike a century ago

In Western countries divorce lawyers are extremely aggressive.
They would go after the Church’s money.
There have been divorce settlements in the billions of dollars.

So only priests spread the Gospel?

Apparently someone forgot to tell St. Nino, Equal to the Apostles, who was not a priest but an Armenian noblewoman who persuaded all of Georgia to convert to Christianity. Which had to be difficult, because historically Albanians and Georgians do not get along that well, and the Georgian language is very different from Armenian.

Jesus let John the Baptist give Him a baptism.
That is like a priest.

Jesus let Mary of Bethany anoint Him with holy oil.
That is like a priest.
Then Jesus said when you spread the Gospel throughout the world,
Do it in memory of her.

Why?
She was the first woman to be a Christian priest.

I'm wondering if you are more influenced by the OT Priesthood or the NT Priesthood?

what happened when Christ died for our sins and ascended to heaven as high Priest and King, sitting at the right hand of the Father?

Hebrews 7:12 to Hebrews 8:6

I can't speak for the Catholic church, but I can speak for the Bible as God's Word. According to Genesis 1, Adam and Eve were created with equal status before God as fully in his image and likeness. However, they were given different functions or roles with each other.

According to Genesis 2, God created Adam first, meaning that he was the "firstborn," so to speak, who had the responsibility of being the servant leader. God created Eve second as the one who would submit to Adam's leadership as he serves her needs. Adam is never called to be the dominant male in rulership over her.

The same pattern continues into the New Testament, where Paul shows that males must be the servant leaders of the females in both marriage (Ephesians 5:20-33) and the church (1 Corinthians 11:3), though they are equal in status before God (Galatians 3:26-29).

Therefore, the offices that determine the direction of the church are to be reserved for men.

I know that the Bible's teachings are against our culture, but they were also very different from Paul's culture of male dominance.

Point well taken here. Thank you.

Where in the text do you see this, though? What we see before the fall is not a leader/submitter dyad, but male and female sharing in the image of God and the work of tending creation.

Firstness meant a lot in the culture of the day, and Adam was called to name the animals before Eve arrived on the scene. Furthermore, the Apostle Paul interprets this passage that Adam's firstness meant that he had a measure of authority as God's servant and that of his wife in the role of servant/leader of her. The equal status that you refer to is founded on Genesis 1 and Galatians 3, but the different roles are clear in Genesis 2 and the other passages I mentioned, especially 1 Corinthians 11:3.
