They needs it like the world needs another Chernobyl accident.
The world needs air to breathe.
Oxygen made by the world’s rainforests in Brazil and the Congo.
Those are both Catholic countries.
Maybe women priests, bishops, and cardinals
can protect the rainforest.

They can't even protect their own unborn. They can't even change a flat tire and you want them to protect the rainforest???
Not sure why you assume a person meant to chant hymns and officiate at a funeral service would be an expert in environmental conservation.
You know this isn't the horticulture forum right?

For the record, I can change a flat tire... :ebil: Although, also for the record, I have never needed to do so in the course of ministry.

Nobody is perfect, not even priests. But each of us brings our particular gifts, strengths and personality to the work to which Christ calls us, and there is no shame in that.

If you really want to stop abortions.
You need women priests to hear a woman’s Confession.
A woman priest is better able
to talk a woman out of an abortion.

If the Eastern Orthodox Church
wants to ban women priests for another 200 years.
I can’t tell you what to do.

I want the Roman Catholic Church to make women priests.

In truth discussing time in an Orthodox perspective is fairly meaningless. 1,000 years is like yesterday passing.

If you want to make a case for the ordination of women alongside of men in the Roman Catholic Church I really believe you need to be making theological arguments, rather that sociological and pastoral convenience arguments. I would start by understanding the role of Mary, Mother of the Lord, in carrying Jesus into the present reality of the world, certainly something I would see as part of the role of a priest. You might also look at John 4, and I mean with some good depth, for there is a great deal of profound theology to do with the historic separation of people being overcome and reconciled, in a discussion with a woman who was sufficient alienated from her own community that rather than come to the well with the other women, she came on her own in the heat of the day, and is as capable of grasping and arguing the theology as any priest would be. Then have a look at the ministry of Mary Magdalene (the poor women who was rumoured to be a lady of the night 500 years after she had died) yet she was the women who Jesus sent to declare the news of the resurrection, surely priestly work as well.

Please understand that this is an encouragement, and not a criticism.

Eastern Orthodox women will laugh in your face if you suggest women clergy. They will leave in droves if instituted (as should everyone as it means it's no longer the Church). They know how things went when women ran things in the religious sphere and it wasn't pretty for them.

I'd be interested to see some support for that claim... o_O
The only so called christian clerics I see protesting in support of abortion rights are women. I'm sure you've seen the photographs.
Now are you saying that you can with a straight face tell me your fellow female co-priests are anti-abortion??? While that would be encouraging the burden of proof is on you as they have already shown their true colors..

So you have seen that some women clergy support abortion, and from that you conclude that the "overwhelming majority" of us do? Sorry, you'll need to come up with more than that.

In my experience, most ordained women value life highly and are far more likely to see abortion as a terrible thing.

That said, support for abortion is not a particularly gendered thing. I've known male clergy to support abortion, and even counsel people in their pastoral care to seek an abortion.

Jesus let John the Baptist give Him a baptism.
That is like a priest.

Jesus let Mary of Bethany anoint Him with holy oil.
That is like a priest.
Then Jesus said when you spread the Gospel throughout the world,
Do it in memory of her.

Why?
She was the first woman to be a Christian priest.

The world is having a shortage of Catholic priests.
In 1970 world population was between 3 and 4 billion.
Today world population is between 7 and 8 billion.

In 1970 there were about 400,000 Catholic priests.
Today there are still about 400,000 Catholic priests.

The best way to make up the shortage is to make women priests.
Women are 50% of the world population.
