The wisdom of waiting ?!

Beloved ones,
when I was faint and weary of my past lives, and even I utterly fell into depression and oppression.

I never considered waiting to be the answer I was looking for ! There is grace of God when we wait for the Lord.

For we heard:
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So beloved ones, wait for the Lord, and taste His goodness!

So beloved ones, let your souls (minds/emotions/wills) seek after Him, and taste His goodness!

Let us give thanks to the Lord for His goodness and His wonderful works to the children of man.

To God be thanksgiving through Christ. Amen

Beloved ones,
I was a fool because of my past transgressions, and because of my iniquities I was afflicted.

I cried to the Lord , and this comfort I received from the Lord.

I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭40:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This I testify to be true that the Lord heard my cry and that He inclined to me !

I was able to wait patiently because nothing I can do then. I can’t pray. I can’t lift my voice to sing. I was at wits end.

This I can do, then and now, wait —wait for the Lord !

I wait for the Lord just as I waited for a doctor

Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation.
-‭‭Psalms‬ ‭62:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, it is true that from the Lord Himself comes my salvation.

I was assured that He blotted my transgressions according to His loving kindness and tender mercies.

I was assured that He washed me thoroughly from my iniquities.

I thank God that He didn’t hide His face from my sins and have blotted out my iniquities.

I was assured by His presence that is full of loving kindness that fills my heart and His truth that set me from bondage of corruption.

Beloved ones, wait for the Lord, believe that He hear your cries and that He inclines to you.

May God’s grace and peace be with your spirits. Amen

I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.
I will glory in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord with me;

their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.


Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Fear the Lord, you his holy people,
for those who fear him lack nothing.
The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Come, my children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Whoever of you loves life
and desires to see many good days,
keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies.
Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.


The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth.


The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.


The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all;
he protects all his bones,
not one of them will be broken.


Evil will slay the wicked;
the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.

Beloved ones, I was ashamed of my past.
I had oppressive thoughts then.

This word brings hope, peace and comfort to me.

“To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

O my God, I trust in You;
Let me not be ashamed;
Let not my enemies triumph over me.

Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed;
Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, the Lord’s steadfast love that covered my shame, this I believe so daily I lift up my soul to Him. I trust that Jesus Christ is my God, that He will not let me be put to shame. I trust that my enemies will not triumph over me, for He will set free from oppressive thoughts. So daily I trust that I who waited on Christ, that I won’t be ashamed.

For we heard:
“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.”-‭‭Psalms‬ ‭39:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, what you are waiting for, set your hope in the Lord. Wait for the Lord, and your hope in Him will be strengthened, that those who wait on the Lord, won’t be ashamed and that your enemies won’t triumph over you.

Our Lord’s promises are true, that His promises give life.

When we won’t be ashamed when we are united in Him. Since we won’t be shamed, that He has given us a life without shame.
Since our Lord assured us that our enemies won’t triumph over us, our Lord promised us a life of victory.

Won’t we be delighted to have a life without shame? Won’t we rejoice that we have a life of victory?
We should be delighted and rejoice in Him.

Let us declare His victory all the days of our lives and rejoice.

May God’s peace and joy be with you always. Amen

Beloved ones,
this is what we have heard:

O Lord, be gracious to us;
We have waited for You.
Be their arm every morning,
Our salvation also in the time of trouble.
‭‭-Isaiah‬ ‭33:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Likewise, we heard:

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

O Lord, be gracious to us; We have waited for You. — that we heard in ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭33:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

and Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; — that we heard in Isaiah‬ ‭30:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

Beloved ones, have we not perceived His first love ? That He first loved us since what is spoken in Isaiah 30:18 precede what is spoken in Isaiah 33:2.

Likewise, this affirms that when we have waited for the Lord, the Lord gave grace to us.

Just as our Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to us; so we expect that when we asked the Lord to be gracious to us; when
we have waited for the Lord, He will be gracious to us.

So beloved one ones, while we wait for the Lord to be gracious to us, remember that our Lord have waited, that He may show grace to us.

So beloved one, believe that we didn’t wait for the Lord in vain, but be truly assured that He is gracious toward us.

How the Lord will be gracious to us, we heard that the Lord be our arm or power every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

This I testify to be true when I was awakened in the early morning at 3:30 to pray for my mother who was laying sick, that the Lord’s arm was with us, though then I was unaware.
And how the Lord told me that my mother is safe in the Father’s hand. And Jesus Christ have become my mother’s salvation in time of trouble.

Beloved one, consider what we heard :
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.-Isaiah 30:18

Beloved ones, we exalt the Lord because
the Lord have been gracious to us.

So what the Lord will wait, that He may have mercy on us.

And therefore let us exalt the Lord, that He may have mercy on us.

Beloved ones, consider the intent of our Lord’s heart, with awe of His loving kindness and tender mercies.

To God be glory, praise and honor through Christ. Amen

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?


When the wicked advance against me
to devour me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.


One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.


Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the Lord.


Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
God my Saviour.
Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.
Teach me your way, Lord;
lead me in a straight path

Beloved one, are you considering Psalms 27:14 ? This is what we have heard:

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved one, what we heard is to wait on the Lord, not to wait for the Lord.

ABC NEWS explains the difference between to wait on and wait for :
To ‘wait on’ someone means to serve someone.
"The hotel staff waited on the couple at their wedding dinner."

To ‘wait for’ something or someone means we are expecting something to happen or we are waiting for someone.
"I had to wait for the water to boil before I could use it to make a cup of tea."
"We waited for our guests to arrive."

So how we wait on the Lord ? How we serve the Lord by waiting ?

For we heard:
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart; - Psalms 27:14

So beloved one, we serve the Lord by encouraging ourselves through Christ and trusting that our Lord Jesus Christ strengthen our hearts.

For we also heard:
Wait, I say, on the Lord!- Psalms 27:14

Beloved one, say to ourselves, we wait on the Lord again and again; believing that we are encouraged through what Christ have spoken in the Holy Scriptures and trusting that our hearts will be strengthened.

How ? Have we not heard this :
“that He ( God the Father ) would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Beloved one, we are strengthened by the Holy Spirit because God the Father grant us according to the riches of His glory.
Beloved one, we perceive that we are strengthened by His Spirit in the inner person, we perceive the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ dwelling in our hearts.
Beloved one, say to ourselves, say to our inner person, the loving words that the Lord have spoken in the Holy Scriptures and be rooted and grounded us in the love of Christ.
So what strengthen us is the love of Christ ( His grace).

Just as the hotel staff waited on the couple at their wedding dinner — waiting on actively. So we who wait on the Lord — is considered waiting actively not passively.

So let us speak actively to our inner man — let us speak again and again what Christ have spoken and what Christ have spoken through His holy apostles — thereby we are encouraged by the Spirit of His word — thereby we be of good courage and strengthen in our hearts (inner person).

This manner we serve the Lord by waiting. Yes, by waiting on the Lord.

May God’s steadfast love be with you.

It is awesome to be encouraged by your words of wisdom brother. It is so true! Jesus dwells in us and teaches us all things we need to know through His holy word spoken in love for our Heavenly Father, ourselves and our neighbours and of course all good Creation as well but such we love different than God and people, don't you reckon?

That our Heavenly Father bless you with all wisdom and understanding of his holy Word in your life and in the lives He brings around for you to bless with Christ's loving truth.

How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!

It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
It is as if the dew of Hermon
were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.
